Are Arlington Schools worth the huge mortgage I'm going to need?

Arlington has views Bethesda can only dream of...and Turnberry Towers in Rosslyn blows Somerset prices per sq ft out of the water.

Someone is stuck in a 1970s time warp. Meanwhile, townhouse a in Arlingtons Glebe Road are selling for $4 m, or roughly 4 times an Avanel SFH....

Simmer down, PP. You are beginning to sound ridiculous and defensive.

FWIW I'd much rather shop at Mont Mall than Ballston Mall. Neither are attractive, but at least there are decent stores up there.

Pentagon City is a better comparison. Ballston is hardly a viable mall at all.

Does anyone actually *shop* in the Ballston mall? I thought it was just for movie goers and dope smokers.

I think we should solve some of our school overcrowding issues by turning Ballston into a little cluster of choice schools. Put H-B at one end and ASF at the other, then make the current H-B building into a middle school and ASF back to a neighborhood elementary. So many problems, solved.

I haven't shopped there myself, but if I ever need a barstool I know where to go...

Excellent idea to make that a school - or two! The kids can eat at the food court down below. And maybe they can build a football stadium over the other half of the garage.

You spend less time on very large roads when you live in Arlington than if you live in MoCo. Commute to down town is shorter. My Arlington Forest house in BCC is out of my budget. My same house in Silver Spring would leave me enough money left over for a great addition.


Is Arlington forest even in north Arlington? I am pretty sure the comparo was B C C and north arl

BCC is mostly Kensington silver spring...lower income than most n arl precincts ...and the parts of b and cc that feed are not more expensive than n arl...quite the contrary.



Most of Arlington Forest is in North Arlington, and a small part is in South Arlington. It straddles Rt 50.
