I am not the PP, and I can cook myself, but I can kind of see what he or she is saying. If you don't have even a basic understanding of what the terms mean, sometimes the directions can be confusing. The directions are written assuming a certain amount of shared basic cooking awareness. If you do not have even this, you may misinterpret something or misunderstand something. Example:

"Bone the chicken." A non-cook may think, "What? What does this mean? How does one do it?" Etc.

So you think those of us who cook were, what, born with the ability to bone a chicken? It's called learning. And, FYI, you can also buy boneless chicken.

There is no such thing as a non-cook. Just someone who doesn't want to to cook.
