Women who have three kids and three baby daddies or two kids and two baby daddies or four kids and three baby daddies, etc. Blech!

I understand some folks get divorced, but I think it is yucky if someone goes from relationship to relationship - usually never marrying - and having various kids with various men.

this brings out the Dr. Laura in me. And I'm not talking low-class welfare mothers. I know several middle and upper class suburban women who have many children by many men. I do judge them.

Mmmmm... those look good too.

Does this change your mind?

You study hard, do your work (even exceed it), earn respect, earn recommendations, hone your focus, and overall, prove that you can handle more a more rigorous academic atmosphere.

And here I thought you just earned good grades and transferred to a uni. Stop with the grandstanding.

Jews who marry Christians and then pretend like Christmas doesn't exist. Sorry but if you don't want to celebrate Christmas or acknowledge Jesus, don't marry into a Christian family, yes, FAMILY. This affects aunts, uncles,.cousins, grandparents etc.

Nope. You don't marry the extended family and what a husband and wife decide is between them, it is none of the aunts, uncles or cousins business.

Christmas as it is today, has nothing to do with Jesus. Jesus wasn't even born in December or winter, according to most theologians and historians.

This is tricky and annoying. My DH and his family are non-observant Jews. (I am a mostly non-observant Methodist.) They didn't celebrate Christmas (no tree or gifts from parents) but "Santa" still brought the kids gifts. I find this weird. Everybody accepted our marriage pretty well. Fast forward 5 years and DH's sister marries a very observant Jew, not orthodox, but Kosher, etc. they decide they don't want our 4 year old DD to even mention Christmas/Santa to their 3 year old DD. Yeah right, try explaining that to my child! And what do they say all those decorated trees are for? And the Santa in the mall? It's fine to not believe/celebrate, but to think their child will never know that others do?

Doesn't matter. Anyone who is intellectually honest knows what Christmas celebrates. The first syllable of the word is a HUGE hint.

"Christ" doesn't mean "god" - it meas 'Messiah," which many religions besides Christianity believe in. Hell, Muslims believe in Jesus as Christ (that is, Jesus as the Messiah - but not Jesus as god). You seem to be putting way, way too much weight into what other people do or don't do. Follow your own traditions, and leave others to celebrate however they want to celebrate.

I oppose my ex-SIL's decision to move in with her boyfriend and her two young children from her marriage. She is a tacky redneck. Everyone has to pretend that this is a great, valid decision.

Abortion. I don't spill because I'm liberal on every other issue, and my pro-choice friends don't understand.
