Who are you voing for?

Obama. I'm a democrat and would be voting for probably most democrats, although I like to think I'm still thoughtful enough to consider either candidate. I liked McCain in 2000, but I don't like him now, and the Palin pick would prevent me from ever considering McCain (if I didn't like the democratic candidate). But I do honestly like Obama. I like how his policy choices are measured. I don't see him becoming a raving socialist. I have no trouble with higher incomes (above $250,000 for a household) paying a higher (than current) tax rate because I feel they are currently taxed too little and have all the loopholes at their disposal. Just because they will pay higher taxes does not mean that the taxes they pay now are "correct". For some reason, people react to change not to the fairness of the original levels. Who said the current tax system is fair? But I also like that Obama approaches foreign policy without this big stick mentality like the Bush administration, which has bought us a world that hates us. Maybe there are a group of Americans who look around and can only think "We're the best, we're number one" and don't care about how the rest of the world views us. I do care, and I don't think we're the best. I think we're the luckiest. And I think we're the most powerful. And not everyone who is powerful is good. And I don't think we've been good.

too many reasons to list, but let's just say I am a bleeding heart liberal who believes in freedom of CHOICE and helping those less fortunate than myself, even it means I'll be getting a tax increase come 2009.

Wow! love it! You are rare and special - no sarcasm . . . honestly! Go, Obama!

Already voted for Obama, as did my husband.

Then make it your choice to give to charity. Not everyone can afford to have that choice made for them.

I really think it's become "uncool" to be a Republican.

When was it cool?

Not sure. However, last week someone told me that I was the coolest Republican they had ever met.

It's a weak field.
Grover Norquist, George Will and David Frum -- now those dudes are the shizzzz. And let's not forget about the celebrity entertainment at a McCain inauguration....maybe the headliner will be the Oak Ridge Boys? Heidi Montag from the Hills?

McCain - and I personally would love to see the Oak Ridge Boys! Goodness, is country music now an evil Republican past time?

I'm a security Mom - that is my hottest button and I am going for the person I think will keep us safest. No deep, dark ulterior motives here, just self and family preservation.

Total leftist and total fan of country music here. Don't always like the topics people choose but I will say that country music writers are the best lyricists out there. Don't go for the Oakridge Boys though. Brooks and Dunn, different story!

Yes, LOVE Steve Earle!

I voted for McCain because Obama caused the economic crisis and will only make it worse:

Obama, even though I really admire McCain and wish Obama had his experience, his views on the surge, and his willingness to buck the party line. As a teacher, I have seen more African-American kids interested in this election than ever before. Obama is replacing sports and music stars as a role model for lots of kids.

Obama. To put it simply, he's got Americans' back. I worry about McCain's mental stability following his military service, health, and issues with anger management. I worry about Palin's lack of intelligence on most issues relevant to America and the rest of the world.
