August due dates?

VEE here - Good morning

I'm still waiting for the 70+ degree weather to kick in so I can start wearing dresses. They are much more comfortable than these full panel pants.

I'm so bad with exercise. I don't belong to a gym and I have a desk job, so I'm not getting as much as I should. I try to take frequent (though short) walks at work, and I chase my 2 year old at home. Yesterday I took him for a walk in the wagon and was totally winded. Now that it's staying light longer, I hope to get out on more walks.

I totally hear you, VEE, on the lack of exercise thing. I keep thinking, "Once it gets warmer I will go for long walks." Well, this cold, damp spring has not motivated me to put a spring in my step. I am just hoping once we get past this rainy week and we end up with nice, sunny 70 degree days! I did get out for a 2 mile walk on Sat. and enjoyed it.

Btw, I post on here quite a bit, so I think I should identify myself with a name. Since I am wishing for warm weather and hoping to plant these soon, let's call me Petunia!

Petunia here again. Just hit 26 weeks and had a good OB appointment. I was a little concerned about some cramping I had over the weekend, but the doc said it was the uterus stretching and I may feel that every 4-6 weeks. This past week, I have also had a lot of fatigue. I was thinking it was allergies, but now (with the rain washing away the pollen) I am thinking it is just (almost) 3rd trimester fatigue. Anyone else starting to feel like that 1st trimester fatigue?

VEE here - I think someone else was asking about fatigue a few posts back, too. I'm almost at 25 weeks and I am feeling it more these days as well. I feel okay during the day, but around 4pm hits I go downhill fast. I try to rest a little when I get home and usually get a second wind around 7. Not sure what can be done about it other than try and get more rest. I'd love a miracle cure though!

VEE here - Is anyone else feeling increasingly forgetful? It's driving me nuts! I am usually a very detail oriented person, and I'm having a particularly bad time with this.

Hi VEE, it is Petunia. I have been feeling a bit extra forgetful and more overwhelmed lately with things that should not overwhelm me. I am a little worried that my 2nd tri honeymoon period is over, and it is downhill hormone and fatigue-wise from here! Oh well, August will be here soon enough, right?? Okay, not really. I am just trying to keep my eye on the prize at the end

has everyone figured out their childcare plans for when (if) they are going back to work? more than anything, that is what keeps me up at night.

fingers crossed that the in-home i've been regularly checking in with works out... looks like she might have an opening earlier than we need, and we will have to bite the bullet and pay for 1-2 months of daycare that we aren't going to use. *sigh.

OP here (L/Elle). My coworker recommended something called Monday Morning Moms for finding childcare.

She seemed pretty confident that something will always work out, and in-home daycare or a nanny share for infants seems to make the most economical sense.

Of course, I'm ridiculously lucky in that my mom has decided to move in with us (we both love and get along well with her - she's awesome) and be our baby's primary caregiver for the first year or so.

LR here - My two week appts start today! Time is flying! only 12 weeks left! Just wondering if anyone is getting the TDAP shot?

VEE here - time IS flying! I go in today for my gestational diabetes test.

I got the TDAP with my first (2 years ago). They gave it to me the day after DS was born. I'm pretty sure I don't have to get it again. DH had to go to his physician to get his, though - something to think about since those days right after the baby is born are chaotic!

Same here. I got mine at the hospital 1st time around. My DH went to a doctor's office. Unlike you, he doesn't have to wait until the baby is born so he might as well do it beforehand.

I was curious about this too. I just read pregnant women can get it between 27 and 35 weeks. I think I will ask my OB about it at the next appointment.

Sort of. I find that if I eat too much, I get nauseous and I have to eat first thing in the morning or I'll start to feel sick. I'm not feeling it all the time like I do in the first trimester, but it's definitely happening. I was totally fine from weeks 12-27.

I'm due aug 6th. Got results of my glucose test (neg) and the doctor said they are now recommending pregnant women get tdap even if they've had it before.
