August due dates?

Congratulations, LR! Sounds like you were on a bit of a crazy ride, but it all worked out well in the end. I hope your little guy gets over his jaundice soon and you enjoy your walk today! The weather sure is cooperating!

Now, time for spicy food....

Speaking of pain, I had lots of Braxton Hicks, cramping, back pain, and even a little blood (who knew a person would get so excited over a possible "bloody show"?) yesterday evening and in the wee hours of the morning. I just knew labor was starting. This morning...nothing! Boo! I am hoping my body is warming up for labor and I won't make it to my induction date (next Thursday).

How is everyone else doing?

Petunia, you're in my thoughts! Wow, what a rough time. I will be hoping for an easy and soon delivery for you. Maybe we will both deliver this weekend.

Had a midwife appointment today and this time the midwife did check my cervix and said I was 1cm and 90% effaced, and the head was at the -1 station. That all sounds good to me. She thinks I'll have a baby by Monday, though of course she could be wrong. But! I've been having lots of contractions today, so maybe she's right! I will say though I did NOT like the cervical check at all. I didn't think they would be so uncomfortable! I hope I won't have to have very many of them during labor.

Congrats LR and 10:21! So many August babies are here! Horray!

Hey guys! Elle here. Definitely in labor! Here's hoping it goes smoothly. Doula and midwife are still calling what I'm in early labor, but whoah, it's intense!

Wish me luck! I guess no matter what in 24-48 hours I'll have a sweet baby boy in my arms!

just wanted to share that last sunday night, feeling so desperate, i tried castor oil, had a table spoon every 3 hours for 3 times between 4 to 10 pm. my contractions started at 12:30 am, went to hospital at 4:30 and was open by 5 cm. then, finally could get my light epidural at 9.5 cm and our baby was born at 10 am. it was a tough ride, can't believe it is over. so, no induction at the end and i didn't get diarhea from the castor oil.

wishing an easy birth to everyone!

WOW - good luck, Elle! Hope everything is going smoothly!! Can't wait to here your little on has arrived

Congratulations 9:26! I'm glad the castor oil worked and you now have your little one! Now, you have me thinking about castor oil...

Any other August moms still pregnant? 4 cm, how are you? I was crampy and had lots of Braxton Hicks last night, but feel nothing this morning. I will be a week late on Tuesday, and seriously considering castor oil then

4 cm here - still hanging out at 4cm! I am a walking medical mystery that is for sure. I still contract every day like crazy and have been losing my mucus plug over the last week. I'm just sitting tight til Monday - eviction day lol!

Congrats to those who have gone into labor. To those still waiting - I'm thinking of each and every one of you.

Jeez Louise, 4 cm! I was hoping to hear you had gone into labor! Or, that your new name was 6, 7 or 8 cm! So, 1.5 days to go for you at the longest since Monday is THE day. Hopefully, your baby will decide to come just a tad bit sooner! Good luck!!

Elle here! Omg. Our little one was born today at 9:44 am! He's perfect. I'm a mess. I pushed for 2 1/2 hours. All in all, labor was less than 12 hours, and I just have some first degree tearing. I'm so happy.

Definitely the most intense thing I've ever done.

No kidding! It is unreal. I'm not holding my breath for any sooner than Monday. Guess this little one is happy and content to just hang out for a couple more days.
