What constitutes a "home cooked" meal? DH complains not home cooked enough

I SAH, and I love to cook, so I do it every night. My husband says, literally EVERY time he sits down to eat (even a simply pasta), "thank you for making dinner."

And our DS says, taking cues from dad, "thanks mommy."

It is the best feeling.
