Not true. They should be slightly chilled. Room temperature is too warm.

Thank you! I'm the quoted "too warm" whiner. That's why the complaint was so first world. The diff between slightly chilled and room temp is so .... inconsequential. Yet I'm peeved.

I tried to watch Hulu last night - internet speed wasn't up to par. Then I tried to watch Dexter via Slingbox from my DVR - something was off and it was choppy too. SIGH. I had to READ. Which meant, I was asleep at 9:45pm.

If/when the power goes out (which it probably won't-- we never lose power in my 'hood), I'll be expected to play endless games of UNO and Candy Land.

This is in extremely poor taste.

DH recently joined AA and gave up drinking, and I am not drinking at home in support of him. What I wouldn't give for a glass of wine during the next couple of days...

I'm not the poster you are responding to, but what is poor taste about this, or are you just humorless?

UPS was supposed to deliver a package Monday. I have no problem with them suspending deliveries, but the website still has no info on when it will get delivered.

I hope you say this in jest.

I don't get it either.

And this is why I have on in practically every room of the house, plus each car and a couple in various bags.

You wouldn't need so many if you used something better than Chapstick. You're stuck in First World 1970s version. Try some Burt's Bees already.

I Opened a bottle of champagne and it must have gotten bumped around because as soon as I loosened the cage the cork shot out and champagne sprayed everywhere. I lost probably 2 glasses.

HURRICANE SANDY 2012 NEVER FORGET!!!

All I have is a french press and I didn't have time to go to Safeway to get coarse ground. I'm stuck with the Starbucks fine ground and it leaves a gritty residue in my coffee when made in the french press. I just don't know how I'll make it through.

I know...and I can fix this with a cone of paper towel in a funnel to filter the grit, but then I have to WASH the funnel. *sigh*
