First World Problems - Hurricane Edition

I want to watch my DVR'd shows, but my kids are home and would be permanently scarred by the stuff I watch. So it's hours of Pingu and other kid crap.

If/when the power goes out (which it probably won't-- we never lose power in my 'hood), I'll be expected to play endless games of UNO and Candy Land.

Maybe it wasn't such a good idea that you reproduce

I'm washing my dishes by hand instead of throwing them in the dishwasher. Sigh.

Op- dude you need multiple TVs

If OP had kids like mine, multiple TV's won't help.

My kids love to come busting in like *Mommy we found you! Watching [insert flavor of the month movie here] is no fun without you so we came to ruin your Mommy Time with Breaking Bad!*

our wine is already mostly gone and only the local package store, which has terrible wine, is open

I would be you if I didn't have to work right now. I'm going until my computer's power runs out...or my house gets hit by something and I have to evacuate.

Stupid ass Sandy. This is SUCH bad timing.

The Starbucks was closed. And the Starbucks across the street was out of iced coffee.

We forgot to get vodka. All we have is tequila. No limes. Sigh.

Exactly. I once tried to watch an episode of Dr. Who on my laptop, in a corner, with headphones, and they kept creeping up to look over my shoulder and be terrified by the aliens. Much more fun to be scared of Mommy's show than to watch your own show, right?

14:26 Back - You just reminded me to make a list of the shows I will miss if the power is out until next Sunday. Thanks. I'm also planning to unplug my DVR and bring it with me if we have to leave our house. Yes, it is THAT big a deal to me.

My muffins didn't come out as moist as last time. Sigh.
If I lose cable/power, I won't get to watch my DVR'd shows

I can't decide which wine to drink.

I can't drink wine all day because I'm pregnant.

And I have to work. And someone has to be sober in case the kids need something.

If/when the power goes out, all I have is my french press.
