How many of us have young kids?

Will be 50 in a couple of weeks and have a 9 and a 7 year old. Was told by a fertility dr. (I had 2 miscarriages first) that I was too old - had both naturally! I am a stay at home mom and LOVE it (ok, there are some days that I don't)!!

I have a 6 year old, and yeah, I'm almost 50. I was told to give up, forget about it, not going to happen, and suddenly, well, here she is. I'm exhausted, though. It's much easier parenting when you are younger.

Congratulations on your family. But what are you doing posting in the "Fifty and Over" forum if you're both in your low to mid 30's?

The thread was about us older generation folks and wondering how many of us have young children.

Oh - I thought she was posting about her kids - the 37, 32, and 3 year old! possible, if she got knocked up as a teen, no? Maybe she's supporting them all?

So, do you have younger kids too? You are blessed to have been able to have a six year old (I am assuming it was natural?) I'm tired too. I'm 51 with a 7 year old. Lots of IVF stuff there, but I feel incredibly blessed.

My mom was 43 when I came along in 1966. Now raising my own young kids. She has been a great mom and
Made sure to take excellent care of her health so she'd be around for me and my kids. It worked! She's 88 now and very healthy! So older moms , mind your own health - its a huge gift to your kids!!!

Counted two others like me: 56 with a 13-year-old. Honestly, I wish I'd had him when I was much younger, I could be having some fun but I'm here on homework duty. Anyway, outside of homework hassles, I love him to pieces.

58 year old male. Our baby turns one this week. My wife is 45. We are having so much fun with our little guy. This is a child we both thought we would never have.
