You can tell us. You're the mastermind behind the heist!

Meh. No one even cares.
I never even notice anyone else’s bag. Just don’t really find it interesting.

OK, your status symbol is virtue signalling as a "do-gooder" . Cool. But your bag is still very much a status symbol, just a different one.

so? No one knows where my bag is from except me. I admired my SIL's bag and she said it was from here. Why not get a cool bag and help out at the same time?

My DH is/was in the financial industry and talks about it ad nauseum. He monitors the stock market and makes it part of our daily convo. I suppose it's good to know as we recently retired.

It seems that the DCUM crowd is not fond of Hermes or that those who are don’t come on here.

$7.5M networth. I have 2 LV's thinking of getting rid of them, 1 gucci from outlet , 3 hermes (victoria, evelyne and verrous which I got preowned). I do not own any other bags apart from these and looking to add few more in the next 2-3 years. Likely Kelly 25 (preowned) and a bottega andiamo clutch and a himalaya bag from one of Italian no name brands, similar to luxury bags in quality but no recognizable brand. We still save close to 300K a year and I keep my bags forever and carry one of them everytime I go out

NW around 40mm. I don’t like branded bags or anything with an obvious logo.

I have two Polene’s- a cross body/belt bag and a tote that I use regularly. My favorite dinner bag is by Acne. Also have a knockoff Dragon Diffusion woven leather tote from Etsy and a few Ulla Johnson bags. I have one small woven bottega. I’d rather buy a nice piece of jewelry than a handbag.

How are you defining "luxury handbag"? Does my LV Speedy count?

I'm not sure what our net worth is -- around 3M maybe, if not including real estate.

I wanted luxury bags when we couldn’t afford any but now that we can, it seems shallow and stupid to buy one. If it gives you joy, buy it but don’t buy it to impress people with your riches. If they are only impressed by expensive things, you shouldn’t care about their opinion.
