He wouldn't be the first heir to bring down the hammer on a sibling once their last parent had died.

I wonder if Charles is on some level enjoying watching the brother his mom loved the most crash & burn.

He probably would if it didn't affect the rest of the family. Charles did his own crash and burn with Diana.

Is anyone else reminded of Michael and Fredo after their mother died in The Godfather?

What a joke we are here.

So true. I hope this arrest leads to testimony that damns trump. Even if our government wimps out, our children and grandchildren will know the truth.
I admire the British do much for this brave and just move.

Do you even understand why he was arrested??

it doesn't matter why, they arrested him for something they know he'll go to prison for.

Right - so of course it matters why. You can't arrest people just because you suspect them of sexual crimes. There has to be a concrete case against them, which there is in this case - and it doesn't involve the sexual crimes. "The truth" about the sordid sexual escapades he engaged in will probably never come out because that's not why he was arrested.

We do know Epstein was "recruiting" young women and putting them in positions of availability. But it doesn't mean many of the men's named in the files did anything illegal on their end. It is not illegal to sleep with a woman you met at a party. Most of these women were of legal age. That is why prosecution is so complicated in this area.

Andrew was arrested because he apparently shared government information. That can be prosecuted. Howard Lutnick lying about his association with Epstein is not prosecutable as he didn't lie under oath.

There are also many names in the Epstein files of people who clearly knew him but there is no evidence they actually did anything wrong and their greatest crime is having been friendly with him. That's Lutnick, so far. Or the Clintons. You don't arrest people simply for being known to having been at an Epstein party. Much of the reaction right now reeks more of a sanctimonious vigilante mob and Salem Witch trial mentality. Which is a shame as there were really unethical things Epstein and Maxwell did.

Female humans who are not of legal age are called children, and there were a lot of them who were raped.

Trafficking is criminal no matter the age of the victims.

Like Al Capone being charged with tax evasion rather than any of the alleged crimes he directed his underlings to carry out. Much easier to prove the lesser charge of tax evasion.

You just repeated what PP said but with more boring writing. Don't do that. We're trying to have a nice time around here.

Why? Beatrice especially was given tons of gifts in exchange for favors and received a lot of things tied back to Epstein.

The chief sin of most of these abusers, honestly: Not being hot.

The girls accepted gifts they shouldn’t have. I suspect neither of them have clean hands. Given within their parents are, they are likely entitled and somewhat fuzzy on the nuances of right and and wrong. I do feel sorry for them bc they never had much of a chance with Andrew and Fergie as parents.

I do not think Charles is happy with this turn of events. Andrew and Fergie know all the BRF’s secrets and the only way either can make money now is to sell the dirty laundry like Harry did. We may find out things like William really did have an affair with Rose, William really does have an explosive temper, and who knows what else. A desperate Andrew is a threat to Charles and William. There is no way to control him now that he’s lost everything.

Apparently the Home Office was given 1/2 hour notice. Odds are extremely high they called Charles asap. Also, the Met needs Charles' permission to enter Sandringham grounds.

But also, Charles must have known Andrew would have been taken in for questioning at some point. He just didn't know it would be today. Which is why he ended up at a British fashion show today looking grim.

Agree with this. Both Charles and William have reasons to fear if either Fergie or Andrew decides to reveal who knew what, and when, about Andrew, and/or whatever other dirty secrets are floating around the BRF. William's hands are pretty dirty too, what with the major Earthshot donor who shared torture videos with Epstein, his decision to fly Andrew up to the late Queen's deathbed instead of Harry, and more.

Not sure Andrew can write a tell-all from prison, though? Fergie is living in someone's fabulous condo in Dubai. Although Andrew probably lost his passport today, it looks like Charles will always have a small 5-bedroom place waiting for Andrew after he does a, what, 2-year prison stint (if that). So I'm not sure Andrew's desperate yet.

I do hope Andrew sings about Trump, though.

I expect the girls didn’t know what was going on until it was too late and they grew up - and it was so much bigger

Andrew would send photos, of his young daughters, to Epstein and bring them to visit him - it’s sick and so disturbing. I am going to assume they’re victims, hopefully not physically assaulted but even having your photo shared in this way counts.
