Do you have a bumper sticker/sweatshirt/etc of where your DC goes to college?

So cringe

I put a Harvard sticker on my son’s car even after he was rejected and not going.

Sweatshirt, probably some free swag as well, yes. Also a branded clear bag for game days and a blanket. I represent the school on one of the boards so I do think it’s good to wear the school colors to the meetings. I feel like wearing stuff with the university name is good PR for the school. Plus it’s a nice conversation starter with alumi.
For the record I won’t be upset by your Harvard sticker if you drive by. I’ll think it’s sweet that you are proud of your child’s hard work. Go for it! Maybe stop after they graduate but until then, wave that Crimson flag!

It’s my alma mater. I have sweatshirts older than my kid.

The other day we pulled up behind a car with Stanford, MIT, and Cal mom stickers. I told my kids, wow, that's one proud mama. They agreed.

I don't think I'm going to put a sticker on our car when DS goes off this August - it will be easy to ID me as I'm driving around town!

Car stickers for 2 children - one at a state school and one at a NESCAC - it helps me find my very common car in parking lots.

Yes. We got those in orientation packet or given during family weekend when emotions were high so felt right to use them. What's wrong with that?

Our kids often gifted us free stuff they received from college as they didn't have money to buy us gifts.

Why?

If women can wear clothes or carry bags with logos of random designers, why using things with logo of yours or your kid's school is cringe?

Only hats (I’ve been wearing hats whenever I go out since high school/the 5th person in my mom’s generation was diagnosed with skin cancer.). These days the hats are not just advertising colleges, but my favorite gyms and the very poorly travel destinations we love and want to promote.

Car sticker for both kids. No clothing merch for dd’s big name school just always felt too “ look at me!!” or something. Sweatshirt for DS’s school that we know lots of kids who go to and not a big deal to walk around in.

I will once she decides where she is going. My family tends to be very school spirited. We all grew up wearing merch from my parents’ big flagship football school. My dad proudly wore a sweatshirt from my and my sibling’s schools, and they still have coffee mugs from our alma maters. DH and I both have tshirts and ballcaps from her current HS that we wear to sporting events to support her and her teams.

DD isn’t looking at Ivy+ where gear would feel like a flex, so absolutely as a family we will share in that excitement. I already know her grandpa will as well.

YMMV

It’s someone who is embarrassed of where their kid ended up.
