We are a state school family. We strive for the best in state options.
Me and DH: University of Texas at Austin (yes, we met there and got married right after graduation) DD: W&M DS: UVA Trivia: my dad was military, and if I had gone to college one year later, I would have been eligible for in state in either TX or VA (due to my mom's job). I loved UT, but I would have picked W&M, and really enjoyed living vicariously through DD's time there. |
To be clear, when I say "picked" I mean it would have been my preference, not that I'm assuming I would have been admitted. UT and W&M are very different, and yet I'm confident I would have been happy with both. I believe strongly that people can bloom where they're planted! |
