Trump supporters, how are you ok with the social media history proposal?

No. It will mean whatever they want it to mean to detain you.

Well, they haven't detained many people other than visitors who've criticized Israel.

Well, as someone who is Jewish, I certainly don’t want this Country importing millions of individuals who want to brutally murder me, my children, and the entirety of the Jewish population.

We saw how that turned out in the 1920s-1940s. Some of us said never again, and it’s refreshing to have such a wonderful ally like Trump in the White House after four horrible years under Biden.

Damn, imagine if the people living in the Holy Land in the first 1/2 of the last century were able to benefit from a leader like Trump to keep Zionists out?! World would be a much safer, saner, and more peaceful place right now, that’s for sure.

I don’t want anyone with a demonstrable connection to Ukraine having a voice in determining why a Russian visitor may be hostile to the U.S., and vice versa. There are plenty of actually objective agents to handle the task. Recuse the others, and hold them accountable if they fail to disclose a COI.

I don’t want anyone with a demonstrable connection to Pakistan having a voice in determining why an Indian visitor may be hostile to the U.S., and vice versa. There are plenty of actually objective agents to handle the task. Recuse the others, and hold them accountable if they fail to disclose a COI.

I don’t want anyone with a demonstrable connection to Israel having a voice in determining why an Arab or Muslim visitor may be hostile to the U.S., and vice versa. There are plenty of actually objective agents to handle the task. Recuse the others, and hold them accountable if they fail to disclose a COI.

And I don’t want anyone with a demonstrable connection to Taiwan having a voice in determining why a Chinese visitor may be hostile to the U.S., and vice versa. There are plenty of actually objective agents to handle the task. Recuse the others, and hold them accountable if they fail to disclose a COI.

I’m someone with a strong connection to one side in one of the conflicts here.

As long as we’re all peaceful enough that we’re not on a violent loon watchlist: Why the heck should we be keeping tourists out because they disagree with me?

My kid disagrees with me.

Why should we try to exclude people who think like my wonderful kid, purely because they have what I think are stupidity views about a complicated issue?

Why? Because the names on the “watchlist” are selected by people with a dog in the fight, that’s why?

You didn’t think God or Judge Judy built the list, did you?

I’m Jewish. Letting Trump create a Gestapo who goes through everyone’s phones for mean comments about his hair is a lot more of a threat to me than letting in people who now have a negative view about Netanyahu.

If people have active plans to hurt me, keep them out.

If they simply are prejudiced against me: We all have dumb prejudices.

Let’s figure out ways to spread good vibes and reduce the prejudice that way, not think establishing a Gestapo is good medicine for prejudice.

The watchlist itself is problematic, and efforts to create and manage it ought to be subject to a lot of oversight, but we’re simply always going to have some kind of list of people who’ve talked about doing awful things in public, or who do have active communications with awful people. This isn’t Utopia. This is Earth. Your list of who’s awful might be different from mine, but you have a ln idea of who’d be on your list, too.

But there’s a difference between, say, tracking convicted terrorists and making all people try to remember all of their TikTok user names.

Why are you so obsessed with Israel? Israel’s government has gone off the crazy deep end, but it’s not that much different from
Iran’s or Hungary’s.

If you’re Palestinian: Why are you so down on Palestinians that you think your government will be any less obnoxious or good at spycraft than Israel’s government?

Last I checked, no one was being detained for criticism of Iran, Hungary or Turkey.

Jesus Christ, are you serious?!

Because we don’t goddamned fund, arm with bleeding edge weaponry, bully the rest of the world, and basically act as a pawn for Hungary and Iran. FFS, the real question is why don’t YOU understand the reason people here in the U.S. focus on Israel’s misdeeds?!
