Which area Independent schools are the least and most snobby/elitist/keep up the Jonesiest?

People like that are EVERYWHERE, especially in this area. My kids attend a private now and we've met some lovely, down to earth families. I like to think that's how my family is, but you never know if that's how someone else will see you. And TBH the most elitist families I met were the ones when I taught public school in the Churchill cluster.

Very wealthy people like in NY or LA DGAF. DC is not in this league. The true test is if there are a significant number of families with high net worths who don’t have to work or don’t work. No one moves to DC because it’s a great place to live. They move here to earn a living.

This is BVR.

Public school parent reading this thread while sick for popcorn purposes only. But this made me laugh out loud so thanks PP!

My guess is that it’s also sound advice.

You can do that .... and not want to spend your kid's childhood surrounded by snobby elitists.

I do not mind being "elite" as they go to Ivies and highly educated. But the pure showing off money and the obvious republican old money vibe is just annoying and boring.

Way to represent your school, Bigot!

SSFS is the least snobby I can say think of. Super welcoming. All kinds feel at home there.
