When will our granddaughter’s childcare be free in NYC?

Why are you asking here? Find an nyc board.

Or while you're out there let me know when I will get the wonderful new healthcare for everyone Cheeto promised.

Hopefully soon! Does she take the bus? That will be free soon too. She'll really be able to get some money saved. How great for her and her child!

My kids are in high school now, so I am out of the trenches as far as childcare goes but I benefitted immensely when we were allowed to WFH and be present around my kids. Just me being there was a huge help to our family, even though I was working.

This is one tax I am willing to pay, it’s a shame that the richest country in the world doesn’t have decent programs to support working parents.

You should not be a parent unless you are financially able to support a child.

Then why are people upset about snap during the shutdown.

Because when people get used to the government paying for their stuff, they get really angry when suddenly, they have to do it themselves.

Thank you! Choosing an altruistic path in medicine shouldn’t be punishing. I know good things will happen for her because of the good things she does. Free childcare would be a wonderful thing.

I am detecting quite a wave of buyers-remorse over Mamdani already.

Nope!

Is there a realistic estimate for when a program like this might be piloted?

Wow, what a credible post! Thank you for your service, Op.

So she's saying she will not cooperate with the will of the people who elected her, and should thus be replaced.

You're detecting a troll. Nothing more. The man was elected a week ago.

Lots of women in other states would kill for the rights she has in NY, and she didn’t even make use of it.

This is her own fault. She could’ve chosen not to be on this predicament. Other women in other places don’t get that choice. She sounds dumb and self absorbed.

She wanted a child. She utilized a donor. She pays all of her bills. She is a pediatrician.

Doctors make a lot of money. Stop mooching.

AI generated. "The average yearly salary for a pediatrician in New York City is around $211,000 to $224,000, but this can vary significantly based on factors like experience, location, and specialty. Total compensation, including bonuses, can be higher, with a total pay estimate of around $269,000.

We’re not in a position to help.

When will your daughter provide free healthcare?

She works for Gotham Health. She’s already doing her part for underserved communities.

"As of Aug 25, 2025, the average annual pay for a Gotham Enterprises Pediatrician in the United States is $234,032 a year.". Save your pity for someone for someone in need.
