This didn’t age well

They're 4-1. Can still end up 4-4 especially with who they have left.

They’re 5-1 but have a tough 2 games remaining

The major changes will occur between 8th and 9th grade.

Stars hasn’t been able to retain teams beyond the 8th grade and it seems like the program is losing momentum overall.

I disagree - this was probably true over the last few years bc so many people had issues w/ the longtime director, but now that she is no longer director, it seems to be on the upswing. The new director is excellent. He’s the best coach my dd ever had and has also been a lacrosse parent, so knows the club world well. I hope he can build momentum to get Stars teams to stick together for hs.

Do Stars teams have parent coaches?

They used to have a rule about no parent coaches after 5th grade but not sure if that's still true.

No parent coaches as far as I can tell, and only th assistants seem to be recent grads (many are former KJ/capital players)

That is a good policy. Heros has a parent assistant coach but I believe his daughter is a goalie. BLC said no parent coaches but 30 and 32 have parent head coaches and a parent always seems to find their way in for the 31s. Must be just no parent coaches for the boys.

Does YJ 2031 have parent coaches?

I believe YJ as a club is majority parent coaches. YJ 2031 are parent coaches

For the club on the whole - it's about 50-50. The 2030s have 3 non-parent coaches. The 2031s have 2 parent coaches and 1 non-parent coach. There are good things and bad things about both situations.

Most Hero’s teams have parent coaches. It sucks, but it is hard to find non parents to commit the time. 2031 HC has her daughter on the team.

2027…mom HC
2028…Two parent coaches of two different kids
2031…parent coach
2032…two parent coaches

Maybe he's not a paid coach, but he coaches. Agree on the last point.

Is he allowed to be on the sidling if he’s not officially on staff? That group of coaches are a piece of work.
