I saw on the 2030 board people were predicting the whole playoff top 8

Pay attention to what Capital does this summer. If they place most of the 2030 BLC team on Capital Blue, then it’s legitimate and it might be worth jumping on the BLC train. If they don’t take many of the 2030 BLC players or place them on Orange instead, then the CAP Academy was likely more marketing/money grab, and you’re probably better off staying where you are or looking at other options up north. It will be an interesting summer.

What clubs have said they intend to stay together for hs? YJMA 31 has - any others? Seems like there have to be other options than BLC/Cap

There’s always Maryland teams. Capital would do well to start younger

I assume 3D will stay together through HS?

Players move to put themselves in the best situation for high school. Roster turnover is minimal once they hit high school so 8th grade is the year.

Most dmv players will look at capital but there are some players in the area that will jump to a Md club next summer or even to start 9th grade. It if you can g at on the team for 8th grade it would be better. Md teams are looking for a few players to fill holes the coach sees. I would suggest reaching out to a coach during NGLL if you’re planning on moving or trying out. Most coaches know who players are from other teams but it’ll help if you reach out first.

Is it better to move to an M&D/Hero’s etc. top team way before 8th grade to give yourself the advantage of having to be unseated by newcomers vs coming in at 7th or 8th grade and trying along with 20-60 other girls to unseat 1-2 existing players on the team? I always have wondered what’s the best path there.

YJ and 3D staying together? None of them are going to try out for Capital next year? That seems surprising

I am sure several will try out and stay if they happen to make Blue.

History would prove otherwise. Especially if it is girls looking at private schools for high school.

2029s were a top 15 team nationally and most still left for Capital in the end.
