The economy at the moment is fine. But who knows.

WW3 is a different issue. Who would be fighting in such a war? Iran is not even Iraq of 2003. At best it is a regional war although that is doubtful. Who will back Iran? China will not go to war for Iran. Neither will Russia but Russia is such a minor power now there is little they could do.

Former diplomat poster above. That's exactly what went through my mind. Rome airport too - I knew a flight attendant who was there. It wouldn't stop me from traveling on OP's plan, but terrorism increases in these situations, yes.
