Democrats’ policies when polled are very popular. It’s that Republicans lie about what Democrats’ policies are. |
Wrong. Every elected GOP today is MAGA. They’re not calling his corruption out. They’re not calling out Hegseth’s endangering of the military. They’re not calling him out for trying to defy judicial orders, handcuffing senators, denying due process to immigrants, and bankrupting everyday Americans to provide for the richest. They want a king and don’t about their freedom or yours. Please get some perspective. The GOP is dead. |
Things usually are with other people's money. Democrats think they're owed everything as a right by others. Don't get offended when people label you socialist pigs. |
Exactly. People voted for this because the alternative was a black woman who dared to laugh. |
Like those GOP farmers who liked handouts so voted for the felon, who bankrupted them, but why not keep the gravy train going? Those MAGA who think they’re owed. |
Or if a normal/fit Dem POTUS candidate had been nominated in 2020, we would have never had to worry about this disastrous Trump second term. Any Dem nominee would have beaten Trump in 2020 considering Trump's unpopularity at that time but we unfortunately turned to a very weak politician who created a power vacuum in 2024 that was unfortunately taken advantage of by Trump. I wish this weren't the truth but this is exactly what happened. |
The people I know who say stuff like this in real life have kids on Medicaid who get special ed services provided by the state. But they are white so I guess that makes it not socialism. |
You mean like all of the people living in red states? They take far more than they contribute. How about the welfare ranchers on public lands? |
You are wrong. It wasn’t only a vote against the incumbent party. They could have rejected MAGA and picked a different republican candidate in the primaries. They didn’t. Americans wanted MAGA. That’s what they voted for. They had 8 full years to learn about the MAGA agenda. Nothing that is happening now is surprising. This is not like an politician who says all the nice things to be elected and once in power does something completely different. |
Like others have said, the red states would have to quit sticking their hands out expecting money from the blue states for you to get that. MAGA needs Democrats to financially make it day to day. |
That’s a weak argument. Even if another mythical democrat had been elected in 2020, they could still have lost in 2024. Also, it doesn’t mean Trump couldn’t have made a comeback in 2028. |
Trump was a very weak major party nominee with a very low ceiling of support in 2020 and 2024. He, with all the advantages of being the incumbent, lost to an unlikable 77 year old in 2020 and then with all that happened with Biden in 2024 to seal the deal for an easy GOP POTUS election, Trump still couldn't garner 400 electoral votes or 50% of the popular vote in 2024. If an Obama, Clinton, or Reagan caliber of POTUS candidate were the Dem opposition opponent in 2024, they would have won 500 electoral votes and 65% of the popular vote. The numbers speak for themselves and they don't lie. Trump in 2020 and 2024 was an extraordinarily weak POTUS candidate who only stood a chance at victory in 2024 thanks to an inexcusable and unprecedented situation created by one person- Joe Biden. |
She also had insane ideas like lowering house prices by giving home buyers money. |
"She" worked her butt off and made the race a lot closer than it should have been considering the no-win position Biden put her in. Point your fingers at Biden for the 2024 POTUS election nightmare; not Harris. |
Perhaps Democrats should support lower tax rates on the rich, to reduce this deficit. |
