California senator physically manhandled and forced out of Noem presser

How is he acting appropriately? If that was a guy off the street, in front of your kids’s school, you’d want him arrested.

Throw his a s s in jail. There is way to ask questions respectfully. The security team did their job. End of story

Like Teresa Borrenpohl? The sheriff and private security officers who dragged her out like what just happened face criminal charges now.

Noem is only a cabinet secretary. She is literally accountable to the Senate. Rand Paul chairs the Senate Homeland Security Committee. He is already less than thrilled with Trump.

She said that?!?!?!?!?

Yep. I guess Trump means to overthrow governors and mayors and hand pick new lackeys.

Every single day is literally worse than the previous day. Our rights are being stripped away a little more with every passing day. No free speech. No right to peacefully protest. According to Noem, no right to elect our own politicians.

Once these rights are gone, it will be nearly impossible to get them back. I’ve told my college-aged kids that they might want to consider building their lives in another country once they graduate. I never thought I would say those words to them.

All of this and it's heartbreaking.

Don't be heartbroken. Get angry and do something to fight it.

He’s not allowed to interrupt anyone who is speaking. He’s done this to get attention.

Anyone who did what he did would get removed from the press conference. If they resisted they would get the same treatment.

This is political theater 101.

As a member of the press (and I was one for 25 years) I would 100% yield the floor to a sitting United States senator asking a cabinet secretary questions.

You seem to think Noem got to set the ground rules of the news conference. That isn’t how this works.

Keep it coming MAGA! The migrant raids, attacks on and threats to public officials, sending troops to local communities against the wishes of a governor, the expensive military parade, and everything else that is coming are not playing well with non-MAGA. Americans are not used to this federal overreach and flexing of power of the executive and they don't like it. It will not end well for the MAGA GOP.

Mr. Padilla was told repeatedly to back away and did not comply with officers’ repeated commands. The Secret Service thought he was an attacker and officers acted appropriately.

Secretary Noem met with Senator Padilla after and held a 15 minute meeting

He’s acted like an unprofessional jerk.

The Secret Service were unprofessional. The video, both short and long, do not support any of their behavior.

Noen is not a god, nor was she in danger inside the building. They roughed up a senator.

This won't blow over.

There were no Secret Service there. That was FBI.

Trump and MAGA will be surprised how quickly things can change. You just never know what triggers a population.

Gaddafi never in a million years expected the self immolation of a Tunisian fruit vendor would lead to being sodomized with a bayonet before being executed by unhappy Libyans a few months later.

Such an outcome would be too good for Taco Taco Man and his side dishes.

I am doing things.... but it is still heartbreaking to watch fellow Americans who are so full of hatred, racism, misogyny that they are cheering this on and hoping for trump to be their "king". We can feel that heartbreak and still fight. Also for all of the non maga Americans still acting like this isn't happening WAKE up and join us in this fight we need everyone. Your rights are on the line.

It was most likely private contractors wearing law enforcement uniforms. We will need know who those people are.
