Why do woman like super tall men ?

Anonymous
The tall men that die at 60 are ones with medical conditions that cause their growth. They could have very short parents that carry a gene and they still grow to 6’10”.

The median age of death of former NBA players is 81.2.

I'm a short woman and I can remember when I dated a short guy everyone said we'd be "breeding midgets." Although true, it stung.

haha.. I'm barely 5', and DH is 6'2" and a bit. Most of the guys are dated were between 5'8" and 5'11". I did not go seeking a tall man, but that's who I ended up with.

I did not think about kids when I was dating since I was never sure I even wanted kids. But, it's true that if I had married and had children with the 5'8" guy, my kids would be short.

As it is, my kids are above average, bordering on tall. 20 yr old DS is close to 6'.

Thankfully, on DCUM short mothers invariably have tall sons.

Haha no they don’t. Every week there is a new post where a short mom is fretting because DS is short. They are desperate for clues and success stories that somehow their short 10% of height distribution boy somehow ends up at 6’3” after his growth spurt. Now they have started giving the short boys growth hormones, crazy.

My parents are 4'11 and 5 ft 2 im 5ft and a woman. Brothers are 5'11 and 6ft. Though their wives are 5ft 3 and 5ft6 their son is 6ft 3 and the other son is tall for his age but still a child. So it really depends. I date and I am attracted to tall men only though.

Are your brothers from the same dad?

Yes! Pretty dumb to ask

Its not dumb, both of your parents are under 5’2”? Where did the tall genes come from?

My best friend from highschool found out a few years ago that his dad is not his biological dad when his mom was gifted “23 & Me” and refused to take it. She broke down and confessed to everything.
Both of his parents are taller than him. He and his dad were pretty shocked. Stuff happens.

Women love tall men and it used to be a lot easier to get away with stuff before cell phones were pervasive.

I dare you to talk you family into a a 23 & Me. If you’re mom’s not interested it will be very telling.

My mother has been with my dad since she was 14 yrs old. 50 yr marriage. Older brother looks exactly like my dad. Not sure what the heck your problem is. I KNOW my mother was faithful. My dad had brothers that were taller than him. What helped was probably good nutrition and other factors. Genetically we are all blessed with good looks and I had no issue getting or attracting taller men. In fact it's all I've attracted.

No one believes that a 5’2” dad and 4’11” mom are the biological parents of a 6’ son. Unless daddy had some of illness or injury which stunted his growth, then your anecdote is invalid.

Do you. It it highly unlikely that they are both his biological parents the exception being if both mom and da were malnourished as children and thus did not achieve their full heights, the son has an underlying genetic disorder contributing to his height both of these are less likely than mommy sleeping around or the son not actually being 6 ft alof of men in the 5'9" range claim 6ft

Anyway, answering the OP it's pure biology. Humans are mammals- specifically primate, and generally speaking in the mammal/primate world the big male attracts all the females seen as strong, a protector, a provider, healthy likely to produce strong healthy offspring etc. We'rre a lot more primal than we want to believe sometimes. Of course we have evolved to look for other things, which is why men of all heights end up with partners.

Taller men don't necessarily have a longer dingus. That's a myth same as saying big ring finger, big nose, big feet all mean larger wieners, but there's no correlation.

Kinsey confirmed that decades ago, but myths love to persist.

Awwww. Honey. You keep telling yourself that. Its ok.

dp.. I can attest to what the ^PP stated. DH is just over 6'2". His is just smaller than average.

People can carry genes that they don’t actually show any traits of. That’s how a kid with blonde hair and blue eyes can be a possible offspring of two parents that both have brown hair and brown eyes. It’s just simple genetics. Some people might carry a gene for taller height but not actually be tall themselves. If their offspring gets that gene then you end up with a tall child.

I do understand how genetics work. And genetics say it is far more likely your mom had a baby with another man than your brother being your father's biological son

It's human nature. And women are better off with taller men.

Idiotic comment…and many continue to be athletic throughout their lives

however, 81.2 is longer than the average male life expectancy and longer than 60.

I have never cared about it but I am a smidge shorter than 5'0" and my taller friends say I don't care because for the most part I don't have to as most people -- including children -- are taller than me.

Super tall men are gross. Most are either overweight or skinny. Not my type.
