The one "big question" that haunts us throughout the show remains unanswered, and we get a bunch of hokey montage scenes I, for one, could've easily lived without. 2/3 of the way through, I found myself wishing they'd compacted the previous episode and just squished all of this one in at the end.

At least it's over? I guess?

What’s the big question?

When/How/If she gets back to Hannah.
I don’t think any book readers had that question.

Speaking of the book, I liked that they ended with June beginning to tell her story. Does anyone think we’ll ever flash forward to the Symposium during The Testaments? It would be interesting to see Gilead’s history being studied through June and her daughters’ accounts.

Can't believe I watched this entire thing. Should have stopped after the first season.

That finale was so boring. It was like 5-10 minutes of content but filed in slow motion with moody music.

It also irritated me that she burned the hand maids dress. I assume those are tough to come by and might be helpful to someone gojng in to spy.

The last episode was like 10x better. This was the worst episode all season.

I wish they would have explained how Janine was released and how Charlotte was given back to her.

It was all just too neat and tidy, basically a fan gratification episode. Pretty boring overall.

Agreed.

This the finale was so boring.

Same. It looks like the work of Lydia. Would have been good to see her setting that up, and setting up her role in The Testaments.

I do agree the finale was boring. I liked that it came full circle (show opening scene matched the last scene perfectly), and I’m fine with it being less drama/action and more of a wrap-up. But it just wasn’t a very interesting wrap-up.

I wanted Gilead to be gone completely.
Guess I’m out of luck.
Looking forward to the new series.

Have you read the 2nd book? You may not like it.

Nick sucked:
- the actor who played him sucked
- the character has zero personality
- they had no chemistry

I didn't love it. But I did love the Emily cameo. I was so sure they weren't going to have her that I was sitting there wishing it right when she spoke. I did tear up.

And while I think the criticisms of the montage are totally valid I also loved it. I have honestly really missed Alma and I loved seeing her.

Hate to say it, but I think I just got tired of June. I never fully bought that June turned into this badass. And over time it really took me out of the story.

I thought it sucked that there wasn't a big role for Moira in the finale. And Luke's ending was kind of weird. June said she underestimated him. I don't think so. Luke's experience was a real experience of being ineffectual in the face of institutionalized oppression.

I was underwhelmed at the Serena and June farewell, but I'd like to see Serena in 10 years. I did kind of like the implication that Tuello still has a thing for her.

I think the final scene was really very good, but I didn't care for both Holly and Luke suggesting it. Even though Luke's line about it being about people that love her was beautiful.

Seriously - so slow and boring. They could have made it so much better. I cannot believe they did not more of the take down of Giliad and at least Hannah being free.

Forgot to add that I liked the husband’s transformation from wimp to badass.
