USAID was a test case. What agencies are next? (after CFPB)

Agree, FCC definitely not irrelevant. In addition to the above, the FCC is a way for Trump to go after all the media companies he detests and also gives him access to the EAS. It’s been all over the news that the admin is already attacking in that area.

Russel Vought director of CFPB, https://www.wsj.com/finance/regulation/russell-vought-taking-over-as-new-acting-head-of-cfpb-9650d338

What does Project 2025 say about CFPB?

And how long until employees are on admin leave?

Very sad. All those elderly people who voted for Trump, this is what CFPB does:

I’m sure they’ll scramble to call their middle-aged kids struggling to navigate Trumpmerica when they start getting nervous about weird phone calls and emails from people who are able to recite their social security numbers.

CDC is next, according to the big pharma trade press.

They’ve already said they’ll have to present a legislative proposal for abolishing ED and can’t just do it by fiat.

USAID doesn't exist anymore, don't believe their lies. The website is gone, the building is locked down - they wouldn't even let Members of Congress in yesterday, the employees are locked out, food aid is rotting in US ports.

Small Business Administration will be gutted because of their preferences. Dept of Education will be hollowed out. EPA surely is in trouble, but doesn't seem to be touched yet.

That was yesterday. You make decisions very quickly it seems, rather than watching as a situation continues to unfold.

Don't be hasty.

I pay attention to actions, not words. Because Trump, Musk and their minions are all liars.

I have friend who works for USAID who is currently stranded in a very precarious situation overseas. She has zero access to the US government. Her DH is actually working with another friendly government to get her out.

So kindly f off with your BS.

Care to share the details, why so secret? Surprised it's not on the news?

USAID must be a cover for intelligence work. I hope your friend and their colleagues make it out ok.

Or just doing USAID work in a country that doesn't like us but tolerates us. But I am with you on hoping this person gets out ok.

Oh you idiot. Your ignorance is embarrassing.

They want it disbanded, page 11 of the attached. https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_CHAPTER-27.pdf#page=9

After CFPB (which is underway), it seems like the public health agencies (FDA, CDC, NIH) are next. It’s baffling to me why they hate FDA and NIH.

Is CFPB going to follow the same path as USAID?

Treasury will be dissolved I here.

No SEC is going away. Markets can regulate themselves. Anything progressive or put in place after 1929 is gone. FDIC is in the chopping block also.

LOL. History suggests otherwise.

Yeah seriously. When markets are left to “regulate themselves” people do stupid **** and the government has to bail them out. The SEC has several enforcement actions pending against Elon Musk. It’s hard to see how they survive unscathed.
