I cited that UCLA had been evacuated before, and people said I was ridiculous for mentioning it. 🤔

The thing is, while you see a morbid pattern, an undergrad at UCLA or Pepperdine may experience disruption from Wildfires once in their 4 year tenure, and it’s never for a full semester or some long duration. It’s not enough to discount an otherwise good college.

UCLA is not evacuated. They are remote this week though. DD is a freshman. I think would have thought twice if applying this year. But really likes it.

I am in Burbank and have also had "be ready to evacuate" updates for a week. Schools closed 2 days last week and reopened Monday.

the Huntingdon Gardens reopened today
The Norton Simon museum (Pasadena) reopened today

UCLA is NOT evacuated, nor likely to.
