I have also travelled extensively, although I'm white. And yes, just something special about Tokyo, and so very different from the west.

I got to see the artifacts and scrolls in the mosque at Timbuktu before it was all destroyed by terrorists. 1000 year items that were in the same location for a millennium. Amazing.

PP thank you for appreciating our country. We truly do have a very beautiful country. I have never been to Africa. Here in the USA the 3 countries that come to mind are Morocco, Egypt and South Africa. I am sure there are many other countries in Africa that are equally beautiful, but perhaps suffer from poor infrastructures.

Bioluminescent bay in Puerto Rico, I went back when you could get in and swim

Lake Titicaca - I spent the night on an island on the Bolivian side about 25 years ago with no electricity and the sky was amazing
