Bucknell, The Street, and Pipelines not named Keystone

Look at the rankings and the results and draw your own conclusions

Again, if you want your kid to make serious money, send him to Bucknell. I know making serious money isn't much of a priority for DC parents who think a law firm partnership is as good as it gets. But for kids who want big money, and get it through learning to socialize and network for four years (and have a blast doing it), then Bucknell is the place to be!

Stats don’t support this. Students that graduate from Bucknell have sub-standard results vs better ranked/rates schools. Better to go elsewhere. Give it a rest.

Or this

Key stat from the second link:

54% of Freeman grads end up in financial services, with a starting salary (meaning right out of college with just a bachelor's) of $90k.

Just FYI for those who mock the idea of Bucknell being a pipeline to The Street. It's real.

90k start isn’t Wall Street pay. That’s Dallas office McKinsey pay, actually it’s less. That’s Omaha branch of a small consulting firm pay.

Northwestern Mutual back office pay.

To be fair to the Bucknell booster, he doesn’t actually identify the street the pipeline leads to, nor does he specify exactly which jobs are involved. So it could be working at a 7-11 on Maple Street in Chattanooga for all we know.

I think the joke is that they’re literally calling Bucknell a sewer. Not sure why this school is the punchline, beyond commitment to the bit.

Davidson is fine. The others attract the kids who were mean to nerds in high school.
