Who is the one who cried when he lost in 2020? Who accepted defeat gracefully? You won. Congrats. Now don't come crying when he becomes dictator for life. Or there is another pandemic. Or we have no clean air or water. |
And she’s a powerhouse. She speaks her truth, she is forceful, she is proud of who she is, and she is unapologetic. I think Kemi could win in the US, let alone the UK. A woman like her will be president some day. |
Success has many parents, failure is an orphan. She wasn't a bad candidate, I'd dare to say, no worse than Biden or even Obama. Certainly far better than Trump. She has a lot more experience as a senator than Obama did. Far better qualified for sure than many men who run for the office.
IMO her failure was somewhat not her fault because Biden run again and that set her up for having to jump in in the last moment. But biggest problem is money in politics. Everyone gets into it for grift. Grift is first, winning is the second objective. Her objective was winning, I'm sure, but having short time to manage her campaign lots of grifters took advantage and now they are looking for someone to blame so they can get to grift again next time. That's not to say grift is only on Dem side, it's far worse on the right and they aren't even bothering to hide it. |
I don’t agree with this. She has to own some of the strategy. She did not want a primary, and she helped design the Michigan strategy. She had her husband there and denied having anyone propalestine speak at the convention. I don’t think the war was an issue in isolation -the war plus the economic piece in concert was. I’m not getting into the weeds on Israel. Choices. She made choices. Are they not her choices because she’s a woman? |
This is my fight song. |
She's a DEI candidate. That's why everybody thought she was so bad. Our country has moved on from people getting positions because they check boxes and have no merit.
Kamala Harris is also for They/Them. Trump is for you. Just like Elizabeth Warren had no chance of winning because she lied about being Naive American. Our country has moved on from liars in politics. Andrew Yang had no chance because he is 5'7". Our country wants a tall 6'3, honest leader who made it there based on merit who is for the people not niche issues. |
She lost because of inflation and immigration. It's that simple. She was fine, but people want change. They.will get it but may not be happy with their choice in 4 years. This is how politics goes. |
Are you describing Bernie? Because Donald is not that tall. Or honest. |
For me, it was more due to inflation. I think people would more likely have voted for her if gas was still under $2.00 and groceries were lower in price etc. Inflation affects the lives of more people than illegal immigration does. |
The libs stole the election and he has the right to be mad about it. |
You just destroyed your credibility. Obviously a much worse candidate than Obama. I stopped reading here. |
I voted for Kamala. To me, she was the only acceptable choice, but there were definitely issues with her candidacy:
1. Most believe she wouldn’t have won if there was a primary, so she’s not the candidate who “deserves” or is most qualified to be president 2. No one knew what she did as VP, except as “border czar”. I don’t believe the border mess was her fault, but perceptions matter 3. She never disassociated herself with Biden or made clear how her policies would be different than his. When his approval ratings are so low, that’s bound to be a problem 4. She was not convincing that she could address economic/inflation issue. To me, this is the most unfair one; she had a much more comprehensive proposal than Trump did, but again, perceptions To be fair, Trump’s campaign was far worse, but these are reasons I think she lost, plus sexism racism |
I think she is smart and accomplished. But she was not fast on her feet, she gave convoluted answers to simple questions, and she appeared to flip flop on her positions. She struggled to articulate a strategy other than Trump is Hitler, vote for me, I'm not Hitler. And the pro-abortion ads likely turned off some people. I don't think she was a bad candidate, but she struggled to separate herself from Biden and communicate her policies and positions. Trump won, not because he was the better candidate, but he made a compelling case to people who either liked him or were on the fence. |
She was horrific. Republican’s who are open minded enough to admit that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were good candidates think Kamala is a laughingstock she was so bad on so many levels.
Middle of the road Democrats acknowledge how terrible she was. I saw an interview recently with a big money Dem donor named Morgan who was venting about her and felt totally ripped off, and said he will never again be an ATM for the likes of her. She is a fraud The only people who would say she is good at this point are the hard left wing of the Dem party, and Trump haters who can’t differentiate those feelings from support for whomever is running against Trump. |
+100 She has never had an original thought or idea. Her campaign was entirely “Trump bad,” and “abortion good,” and it’s not like she’s the first to come up with those doozy’s. Other than vague BS like saying she’s accomplished, or the first black this or first woman that, can anyone name a specific thing that she should be proud of or idea she has had? |
