Hannah Kobayashi missing

It seems a little extreme - I wonder if there is more to this story.

I doubt Hannah knows that her father is dead - it looks like she wanted to detach herself from everyone + everything.

If she IS found later on - I think she will unfortunately feel tremendous guilt for deciding to “disappear.” 😓

He had mental issues and was estranged from her

Too sad for the father. He probably knew the daughter has some type of mental issue. People dealing with mental illness as a family member feels hopeless.

He had it too

This is NOT the first time she has been reported missing but family members are not being truthful about it. There are several posts about Hannah being involved in fake marriage for green card.

She is 30 years old. She is allowed not to have contact with her family or anyone else regardless if the reason is due to mental health issues. She hasn't been abducted or trafficked or manipulated. She isn't in immediate danger to herself or others.

It is awful that there are bonafide missing people who are out there and not getting any publicity because of this case.

Because she’s pretty, that’s why.

I’m trying to think of an ugly woman who has gone missing that has gotten national coverage. Not many for sure. People would be more upset about the hostages in Gaza if they were a bunch of blonde cheerleaders from Kentucky.

First the complaint was that only white women get attention, now it includes all pretty women.

She's ok looking. Let's face it, the girl's going to post the best pictures of herself. IRL she's probably fairly average. Same for her sister who's all made up in front of the ring light. These people seem to spend an inordinate amount of time posting their images on social media which is an ick.

I personally think she had lead a secret life.

She probably was married to someone and he likely lives across the border in Tijuana, MX.

She probably had been planning on joining him there for awhile.
I suspect there is a man involved in her disappearance.

Sure she is reasonably attractive though not exceptionally beautiful or stunning.

Even unattractive people post attractive photos of themselves online - especially on social media.

There are so many filters, etc. that it is almost next to impossible to post a bad picture of yourself these days on the internet.

I’m confused about the suspicion that she was involved in a marriage for money scam - was she a victim or a perpetrator?

.^and why did the family now have a criminal defense attorney?

She was the perpetrator but got scammed as part of it. She had a fake marriage to get someone a green card, but they stole the $$ they were to give her.

So they didn't pay her. Wonder how they think the green card will work out for them?

The LAPD said nobody committed a crime.

In that case the speculation that someone did is horrible. I hope she's found.

Law enforcement has video of her going into Mexico alone and seemingly ok. I think she just wanted a new life.

She killed herself too is my guess. Just hid herself well prior.

Then she’s possibly in a mass grave and we’ll never find her

She actually is a tad bit overweight so her appearance may not be a huge (no pun intended) factor in all the interest involved in her case.

Actually the weird + unusual circumstances about her “disappearance” make it very interesting.

Add to that the fact that her Father took his own life after a few weeks is very unusual and disconcerting too.
