Hannah Kobayashi missing

This is NOT the first time she has been reported missing but family members are not being truthful about it. There are several posts about Hannah being involved in fake marriage for green card.

She is 30 years old. She is allowed not to have contact with her family or anyone else regardless if the reason is due to mental health issues. She hasn't been abducted or trafficked or manipulated. She isn't in immediate danger to herself or others.

It is awful that there are bonafide missing people who are out there and not getting any publicity because of this case.

Because she’s pretty, that’s why.

I’m trying to think of an ugly woman who has gone missing that has gotten national coverage. Not many for sure. People would be more upset about the hostages in Gaza if they were a bunch of blonde cheerleaders from Kentucky.

There are timelines there and she was sighted at a Greyhound terminal. She sent weird texts that sound like she’s had some kind of break. And it seems she *may* have been involved in a marriage for green card scheme.

She looks American to me. Her dad probably has some Japanese in him but he looks half. Do you mean she married a foreigner who was paying her to get his citizenship or something?

Seriously F___ You, lady. I am 100% American but you would probably say "Oh, she's Chinese". People like you are disgusting pieces of SHIT and the reason we're stuck with Trump for president for the next for years. Guess what b__? Your ancestors were immigrants too.
I agree with what you’re saying, but when we have all these labels for people…Chinese-American, Japanese-American, Asian-American, African-American etc. this is what happens. Do we want to celebrate ethnicity or don’t we? Are we all Americans, or are we XYZ-Americans? When you add the xyz, you’re othering yourself and creating unecessary labels and differences.

I LITERALLY said that I am American.

To launch a go fund me and pocket the money?

Seems unlikely.

I think she’s being threatened/blackmailed. The Venmo’s are a red flag.

I disagree. I contributed to the Go Fund Me. If she is in Mexico and they use the money to find a private detective to identify her location, great. They are also using it for funeral expenses for the father. I hope they locate her and use any remaining money to get her services and heal the family. This to me speaks to the difficulty families face when an adult member is in some kind of distress, it's very difficult to intervene legally before or even when something like this happens. "Shes an adult" etc. I would not want my adult child wandering around mexico without a phone or a plan, gosh. I hope they find her. Happy to have contributed.

You are an idiot. You've been had sweetheart.

It is more likely because allegedly the family has some financial difficulties. Hannah has gone missing other times and has been to rehab in 2022 which the family didn’t reveal. It seems very scammy

Anonymous wrote:It is really suspicious. A private investigator tried to help and is alluding that the family is not being honest at all. Family said she missed her connecting flight to NYC but the investigator found video evidence that she went to baggage claim and picked up bags that were tagged from Hawaii to LAX so it looks like she really didn't have a connection flight and intended to go to LA. The family won't comment on this allegation.

It's called skip lagging.

i don't think you check your bag when skip lagging.

GoFundMe $$$$$$$$$$

I know someone from the NY branch of the family. Nice, educated, down to earth . I don't think they are terribly wealthy or poor - They all went to CA immediately to help. The collective cost adds up quickly when you stop, drop and join a search effort. Also, hiring a detective. The GoFundMe is to enable them to not quit, keep trying as any family would want to do. This assertion is ridiculous. You could say this about any go fund me and prob be similarly incorrect.

Reminds me of that Netflix documentary about the young woman who stopped taking her meds while on a trip to LA. She was seen acting erratically on a hotel security camera and ended up dead in a water tower on the roof.

Elisa Lam?

Yes. They showed her displaying odd behavior at the hotel on their security cameras. It turned out that had stopped taking her medication some time before/during the trip.

Whoa.

The outlet say that Kobayashi and her then partner landed in LAX with plans to board their connecting flight, with her legal husband and his partner also onboard.

LA Mag report that the scam was uncovered by Kobayashi's mother who found documents listing an attorney for her daughter's marriage, which she handed over to law enforcement.

This woman is wasting SO much money. She was a scammer who got scammed and was too embarrassed to own up to it so she went to Mexico to get lost. Case closed.

I find it tragic that her father leaped to his death from a parking structure after only a few weeks of searching for his daughter.

It seems a little extreme - I wonder if there is more to this story.

I doubt Hannah knows that her father is dead - it looks like she wanted to detach herself from everyone + everything.

If she IS found later on - I think she will unfortunately feel tremendous guilt for deciding to “disappear.” 😓

She's a normal looking fresh-faced 30 year old woman. Nothing unusual.

First the complaint was that only white women get attention, now it includes all pretty women.
