Kamala’s first interview in 40 days as the Democrat nominee:

18 minutes, edited, no transcript, and with a chaperone.

Great. Not count the actual substantive answers, loser.

This. Trump never actually answers the questions posed. Never. As in not once. He lies and he sidetracks and he rambles. He does not answer.

And is never held to account for anything he says or does.

I wouldn't be so complacent if I were you. Democrats love counting their poll-o before they're hatched.

Zero. Exactly as I thought.

How she going to deal with Putin when she can’t even go by herself to a softball interview at CNN?

Lol did you miss the post like two inches above yours that shows all the past presidents doing interviews with their running mates? Yes, even daddy Trump!

Not sure if you’re aware but Trump has given many on his own. Harris has been”nominated” (appointed) for 49 days and still haven’t done one.

Cope harder

So you agree it’s not unusual for her to be interviewing with Walz. Why did you say it was?

I don’t. It’s very weird she hasn’t done one alone . She needs a man? Weird man…really weird.

Why doesn’t she do one in her own? What are her policies? She said she’d fix the economy? But. Isn’t the economy great under Biden?

BTW the average salary needed to own a house in 2024 is not 106,000. Thanks to Bidenomics and Kamalaunnism it’s up from 59k in 2020.

So he’s fixed it alright…for her cronies on Wass St .

Serious question, does anybody have or know where to look for, actual data on historical norms here?

From a facts perspective, we know that presidential candidates often give interviews with their running mate. So I think we can put to bed whether that is unusual.
We also know that Trump has a history of talking for a very long time in a variety of interviews (we can quibble over whether they were legitimate interviews, but that is beside the point.)
But I don't think "either side" would want to say that Trump is the norm.

So what is the history of presidential candidates giving interviews? How many in the last 10 weeks of a campaign? How long? How often edited v. not?

Lots of slinging insults back and forth, but at least I am genuinely curious on the objective question of whether what is happening is atypical. That should be knowable....

A quick search shows that over the last 20 years candidates have ramped up their interview schedules in the final weeks of a campaign. Interviews can range from short, soundbite- focused segments (5-10 minutes) on news channels to longer, more in-depth discussions (30-60 minutes) on platforms like talk shows or podcasts. Major interviews, such as those during town hall events, have usually more substantial in length and detail.

It doesn't seem atypical, but if interviews don't ramp up and get longer, that would not be standard

This is great. If they’re going to waste time in an interview asking her to react to the dumb sh!t Trump says about her, that’s exactly the answer they should get.

CNN’s interviewer couldn’t keep herself from telling Harris how to answer the question while asking the question. And Harris still couldn’t manage to give a coherent answer.

Whereas Trump gives despots whatever they demand.

Will her interview tomorrow be longer?

Incredible she can't do it alone. And then saying she doesn't flip flop on topics which she's on record for. 🙃 You can't make this up!
