I love big cities but Geneva was so dull and everyone seemed to be annoyed that I existed. Brussels looked interesting on paper but maybe it’s one of those places that is better if you stay for a couple of months and immerse yourself. It wasn’t great for a short visit.

Also, OP here to add Atlantic City. First night there was a murder outside our window. There was a terrible odor that lingered on parts of the boardwalk as well. DH parents had a time share at the time. It was bad! The food was terrible. Parking awful. Shuttles crowded and dirty. I wanted out ASAP.

Op here. I felt so old and out of place in Miami. We tried the arts district, we tried restaurants for dinner, I just felt it was not my vibe or my scene as an unfashionable, heavier, mom of three. Miami and Houston as well were my two. I won’t see those again.

So true. I don’t think it’s my scene now as a mom of 3 - but I liked it when I was 22. I don’t think I’ve been back to south beach since a bachelorette party in 2013 - and I was too old then but rallied with friends.

My ILs live in North Miami so I go fairly often, but we like Hollywood Beach now.

I found Tijuana to be depressing. A bunch of strip clubs and places to buy knockoff pills. Outside the main strip, the neighborhood was very poor and gave off menacing vibes. Seemed like they don’t like Americans. Which given the drunken idiots that visit, I don’t blame them, but nothing about the place appealed to me.

The area surrounding Asheville was awesome as was the neighborhoods along the river. The core downtown was full of drug addicts.

I really hated London the last time I was there. The people were horrible. Cab driver was casually antisemitic and islamophobe, Harrod's saleslady was a passive aggressive rude woman with a huge fake smile, it felt busy and not as charming as I remembered it, basically all I had heard about England but not experienced before on past trips.

Definitely lots of jelly fish in the bay in August/September. It's really just the beach/state park, so if that PP was looking for a beach town feel, Sandy Point won't be it. If you just want some sand and access to the bay, it fits the bill nicely.
