Why? |
+2. Though it's better than Atlantic City where I have also attended work conferences. That place is depressing AF. |
Agree on both counts... |
+2 for Scottsdale. I've been a couple of times for work related meetings at resorts, and it was fine, but not something I would spend my own money to do. |
People like to bash all inclusives on here. Like most things, it has its place and may not be for everyone (certainly not something I'd recommend for solo travelers). I like AIs for multi family getaways. No need to cook or clean. Meal decisions are pretty easy. And it's good for relaxing and spending time together. We've done it with different sets of families and like it for what it is. The food may not wow, but there's always plenty of fresh fruits and veggies and a large variety of offerings. I don't go to AIs for local culture; I go for relaxation. We've taken our kids when they were little and it's super easy. |
I hated Venice. It's so romanticized but is actually a very expensive sinking tourist trap. If I could time travel a few hundred years into the past for a visit I might feel differently but alas. |
Disney has the worst food |
East Africa. Will not go again. This was Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Especially Uganda. I didn't HATE it but this was far, far out of my comfort zone when I realized what kinds of danger could've happened. |
A lot of European cities...they all start looking the same after a while. I dont hate them but meh. |
Go to sandy point. My little kids thought it was Adventure Bay |
I like most places but places I wouldn’t say I hate, but was underwhelmed by and not in a rush to return are:
Nemacolin and Asheville, NC |
I went to Kuala Lumpur 15 years ago and hated it and vowed to never go again. I went last year because of a complicated itinerary that made sense to take us through there. I fell in love with the city and especially the people of Malaysia.
Since then I’ve decided to never write a place off even if I recognize that it wasn’t the place for me at some point in time. For that reason I’d like to return to Anchorage and Memphis- I couldn’t figure out either city but would like to try again. |
Op here. I felt so old and out of place in Miami. We tried the arts district, we tried restaurants for dinner, I just felt it was not my vibe or my scene as an unfashionable, heavier, mom of three. Miami and Houston as well were my two. I won’t see those again. |
No place will ever make you feel uglier than Miami. |
Las Vegas
Portland, Oregon Jamaica |
