I think the crazy part is the US has a waitlist decade long of people wanting to enter country legally and get a Visa yet it seems like if they simply got a flight to Mexico City and paid the extra money to smugglers to bring them to the US border, they would be able to forgo the whole Visa thing and enter the US illegally and get catered to free of charge or punishment

Over 200,000 people have come to New York City over the past two years. We do not have the capacity to absorb all these people. No one can survive in NYC collecting cans out of the trash. As someone who was just in DC in the springtime, you do not have the same kind of migrant issues that we do. There’s just no comparison. In addition, I had my first job at seven years old and I’ve worked really hard all my life. I am fully employed and a valued employee at my job. Over the past couple of years, my employer has gradually reduced our WFH to twice a month so I’m in the office nearly every day of the month. I don’t mind going into the office at all. When my kids were younger, the foreign-born nannies of their peers would approach my mother and tell her how friendly I am, but thanks for playing, a-hole…
