here is what i really like and never got in Thr UK:

#1 Peruvian
Cuban
Upscale Mexican
Crabcakes preferably from Logan’s
NY Style sandwiches (i love “The Deli”)

Definitly not BBQ. So much sugar i think it’s an acquired taste for sloppy sugar filled food.

Try a vinegar or mustard based bbq one of these days.

Burger places are all over the uk. Five guys is all over London.

Yep. This became a joke between my husband and me when we were in London and, to a lesser extent, Paris- everywhere we went, there was a Five Guys! We thought it was the funniest thing.

Yes, we know they make burgers. Do they taste the same? No. Guess what, they have Chipotle there too...

It’s really a matter of taste, as while I agree DC coffee has massively improved over the last few years, I much prefer the coffee in London which I find generally much smoother and less bitter. But if they are into coffee, definitely take them to the nice places

Coffee in London is awful

When I studied abroad in England, my wings were always a hit at parties. So my vote is take them to a good wing joint for extra crispy Lemon Pepper wings and Hot wings.

No it’s not. You just didn’t figure out where to go. I actually had better coffee over there than here. Loads better.

Perhaps it's a matter of preference? I didn't have good coffee there either.

This is a ridiculous debate given how many very different coffee options there are in both places.
