In a way, thats what each party’s propaganda is designed to do - scare their voter base about the other party to the point that they would rather disengage with a family member or friend than hear and digest a differing viewpoint. The party in power gets to siphon your tax dollars so they’ll literally say or do anything it takes to stay in office. And its BOTH parties. Neither platform is actually whats good for the country or about the greater good - its about creating clear party lines.

With that said I wouldn’t rule out dating anyone based on politics as long as they weren’t at the nutjob ends (right or left) of the political spectrum.

So you maintain friendships with those advocate for blowing up the lives of minorities? You expect me to maintain a relationship with those that wish me harm? How is this a 'both parties' thing?

The alt-right propoganda tells them that only crazy people stop friendships and how open minded people all of a sudden are not open minded because they won't be friends with racists.

It's bizarre they don't know the difference between politics and ethic/morals.

I'm not friend with ethically immoral people, I'm not handing out with J6'rs, rapist, murderers, racists, etc.

Agreed. No, I don't want to be a friend with someone who straight up supports nazis. There are NOT very fine people on both sides.

I have a hard time having MAGA relatives around. I don’t want that kind of influence on DC.

What does your career have to do with anything?

The disregard that MAGAs show women who can earn money and not be reliant on men.

A MAGA pro-trump supporter provides me with information about their priorities and what they value in humans so it’d be an easy NO!

The issue you have is that most men are Maga or would vote that way. Most of the rest are conservative. They may tell you something else or pretend but that is the reality.

I don't have that issue, no.

Men are MAGA if they aren’t weird.

It’s just Mother Nature

It's not, though.

I am from Nigeria and I hate to say this the dynamics in this country are very similar to the ones in Nigeria and many African countries. For instance when I look at Northern and Southern Nigeria, I see parallelism with say New York and Mississippi..the issues we fight over May be different but the divisions are the same. This is something I hope Americans realize soon. But I am afraid they will never accept that because unlike Nigeria they don't have thousands of people killing each other.

No. Not for any reason.

Any educated, intelligent woman's choice to date MAGA is equivalent to self-harm. Like cutting or facial tattoos, it's a sign that something is broken and wrong in her.

MAGA likes physically attractive women with grace. Educated / intelligent is low on the list.

I asked my dad why he is voting for Trump. He said he liked the tax rate Trump put in place for folks in his income bracket. I then asked him about all the other issues affecting women etc? He looks at like I was crazy. He is a secret Trump voter. How many are they like him in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina? The women that Democrats are counting on in those states in the suburbs, are they also thinking along the economic line?

We will find out in November. I'm very curious to see the gender breakdown in those battleground states come November.

All polls show a near identical overlap between self-described Republicans and conservatives with voting for Trump this fall. It doesn't mean everyone is happy with him as the nominee, but Trump won all his primaries by substantial margins. So who exactly are these hypothetical MAGA people OP is referring to?

MAGA are the people that make Trump their whole identity. Flags, tee shirts, and total disrespect for other people. Exhibit A) the gym obsessed loser who thinks in binaries - every Democratic woman is fat, on and on. Republicans who are voting for him, but don’t make him them their whole identity (they know he is dishonest and corrupt) - they are just self serving people. They want less regulation and business friendly policies. Wall Street has never given a damn about Americans. Anyone remember 2008? They ignore the obvious signs that Trump will be extremely destabilizing to the economy and globally. And if you are a TRUE Republican Conservative (not a religious whack job) - you aren’t voting for Trump. He is the opposite of fiscally conservative adding to the deficit twice what Biden did.

I am one of those secret Trump voters and my wife doesn't know. I also know other men like me here in VA. When we get together and the women aren't around we can freely talk. We don't worship Trump but we like his deregulatory mindset. I once saw a survey that showed how women were far more concerned about the climate than men regardless of party affiliation. Women naturally worry more about their children and their future than men..We men think our kids will figure it out regardless.

I still Biden will win by a small margin but Trump will be very close.
