Do A meet families ever take vacation during summer swim season?

Ask OKM how many swimmers were out today. So, yes.

I looked at girls and boys 15+. 100% of the OKM swimmers in that age range who were top 21 in each stroke in division 1 were there. ONE 13-14 girl was not there today who was in the top 20 in the division and ONE boy was not there eho was top 20 in the division.

Again, the beset (esp older) swimmers are typically there unless there is another swim related conflict.

No one said A meet kids don’t leave. It’s whether the best swimmers vacation during summer swim - when their LC championship meets are being trained for, tapering for, or taking place.

Many responses addressed the best swimmers and which meets they are training for. That’s what I addressed.

We have a lot of swim families take off during July 4 week. Missing a few of our top swimmers. We are middle division MCSL.

It's just like any other activity, we plan vacations around our children's activities. I have 1 "A meet swimmer child" and another child that is big into scouting and attends 4 weeks of scout camp over the summer as either a camper or volunteer. Between the two, we only really have 1 week where we can vacation and we do that week.
