I can see the value there. I’m down to two swims a week due to the races I’m doing this year having less challenging swims (basically nothing in open ocean with a gnarly potential current). I was going 3x and also using the weight room. But that was too much of a time suck, so I bought stuff at home for strength training. In the end, the marginal time savings when the pool is open (like it will be when I go later) is worth it to me. I’m already up against major time crunches all the time as it is. |

We have a family membership at Mclean Tennis and Racquet and it's around $280/month, I believe. We don't go often at all as we have some equipment at home and like to run outside. We do take the kids their to swim and sometimes for tennis/camps especially in the winter. Haven't tried to get tennis or squash courts outside of the camps. |
Does anyone know the rate at Gold's Gym in Georgetown? Is there a way to negotiate the rate and/or are there "hidden" non/advertised rates? |
I believe it is $39.99 every two weeks and there is a yearly fee which I do not remember in addition to that. If you are a member of another Gold’s already you might have access to this one too. Check at the club you normally go to, not in Georgetown, as there they might claim you have to upgrade even if it is not true. If you go to another DC Gold’s or to the one in Rosslyn, it is already part of your membership. |
I have this but haven't been in 3 years. I also have a yoga studio membership that is $135 |
