Maybe you're an insider who knows all the deets, but for me a call for emails to the Arlington County School Board based on unsubstantiated rumors, calling out other SB members who may or may not have anything to do with it is so stupid. I hope Mary and her friends can fix it because I actually do like her as a school board member and think she would be just as good of a chairperson as anyone else.

Also go to AEM and post all of these nonsensical accusations for everyone to see under your real name again. Please report back how that goes. I'm not doing a thing for any of of you or Mary. No, it will look like the public expects their ELECTED school board members to follow protocol and install Mary as chair, which is what I expected when I VOTED all of them into office.

And it will send a message that they can't get away with sneakily blocking her.

Bethany goes along with this at her own peril. As do the others, it will really stain their reputations going forward whatever they do. They will lose the public's trust.

The AEM post is so interesting to me. People who are "questioning" the "rumors" are outing themselves as either in the CDT/DP camp or showing they are completely out of the loop.

Bingo. This is about the career center. She was the sole dissenting vote to advance it in 2022, and immediately afterward Barbara Kanninen flew off the handle and excoriated her.

It’s not enough that those 3 and the central office staff got their way. They demand total unanimity, because when things go wrong they want the CYA that comes from saying “no one warned us”. And if everyone always agrees then voters don’t have records to compare come election season.

MK is not a bomb-thrower, she doesn’t insult people or attack their motives. If thinking for herself and occasionally coming to a different conclusion is enough to cause two lame ducks to try to sabotage her, throw a ton of precedent out the window, and damage the SB as an institution, that tells me the SB is in a pretty bad place, and needs independent thinkers more than ever.

Listen to yourselves. There are a few things I've learned in the past few days

1.) Mary is this fragile, wilted flower and um, minions must fight for her to keep their own insiderness/power over others?
2.) Anyone who isn't "in the know" is a CDT/DP minion. I didn't even know there were CDT/DP supporters until today. Lol.
3.) We should all follow Mary supporters and their unsubstantiated conclusions, based on wtf and omg.

Based on the AEM and DCUM threads, I'm losing a lot of respect for her quickly. I hope that was your goal, because I'm not the only 'commoner' coming to the same point. Keep doing what you're doing though and see what results you and Mary get.
