Wesleyan is not low-ranking.

OP here: I didn’t ask for low ranking. I asked about rejections from lower ranked schools.

So PP humblebragged.

(I doubt you are OP)

You’re wrong. I am OP and I posted that comment about what I was asking.

Not PP. I think it’s an interesting question, OP.

It's very interesting, but Wesleyan? Oh, my kid didn't get into Yale, so I'm sad.

Interesting.. what other acceptances and rejections did they have?

- I know a kid who was rejected to [above 50th ranked school], but also accepted to [top 30 school].

I know 2 kids rejected from Boston College that got into top 25 schools.

Purdue is ranked 43 (not above 50). And I'd argue Purdue CS is higher ranked than that. So not really what OP was talking about

OP here. I only provided an example in my post. I'm not only looking for denials at schools above #50 and then acceptances to higher ranked schools. It could have been accepted at #9 and denied at #25, or whatever numbers. I'm just looking for stories about disparate results.

Knew two kids actually that were rejected UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, UCI, UCD... but accepted UC Berkeley.

Berkeley was last to roll out decisions so they thought they got rejected from every UC until the good news came.

Anything can happen!

Kid got into UVA and Notre Dame but waitlisted at Richmond, but this was a while ago.

This is very common with the UCs.
