Check out the NFL preseason standings. That is amazingly predictive too! |
| Is Queen City a mls club? |
And by great, you mean 500? There are other USL teams that actually do draw great crowds. Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Louisville City FC are two. Loudoun is not one. |
MY DS MLS Next team was massively experimenting with lineups to check out new players/positions. It literally took two games to do it. ECNL families, were you seeing wholesale new lineups or were they mostly going with the lineups from last season? |
Well- ours too and still beat the ecnl teams they played |
Yes but not an academy - they are in Charlotte. |
| Ugh PP here, I misread the question... They play in the MLS next league but do not have a MLS team. |
ECNL teams were doing the exact same thing- coaches trying new line ups, giving subs and new players time to see how they do. My starter sat for at least half of each game so the coach could test out other formations and line ups. This was to help the team get ready for league play. It seems there is always an excuse when the data doesn’t align with the narrative the MLS Next teams would like…..sigh… |
Ah yes an our ECNL team with 4 starters injured beat the MLS Next teams they played. So- literally it doesn’t matter what your single team did. In aggregate the scores were even across with just as many MLS Next teams losing to ECNL as vice versa… And some Next teams lost to ECNL 2nd teams too….(NCFC sent their second team, ECNL RL had a few teams in the mix)… |
The great delusional self medication 💊 continues |
In 2013, Conference Premier side Luton Town (in the 5th tier) beat Premier League side Norwich City 1–0 in the FA Cup Fourth Round. In 2017, National League side Lincoln City (also in the 5th tier) beat Premier League side Burnley 1–0 in the FA Cup 5th Round. It was the first time a non-League side had reached the Quarter Finals in 103 years. This means the Premier League isn't the top league in England 😁 |
Is this from the preseason scrimmages with coaches experimenting and not fielding normal team makeup, or something else? |
|
Thiago Messi and Benjamin Suarez are playing U-13 MLSnext this year for Inter Miami. (They did lose to Barca’s youth squad 5-0 at U12 though)
Mic drop |
Always an excuse. Next up is that the MLs next teams lost to ECNL this weekend at an equal rate as they won because the teams playing were all the worst in next. I mean how many more excuses can you make? First it was that MLS places more in college in every region. Then it was just that they were better teams with better players, then that preseason tournament games don’t matter. The gaslighting continues when reality hits. These are not u-9-12 games…these are games in the college recruiting years… |
MLS Club Academies are compared to MLS Next teams ECNL is compared to EDP1 and EA teams Stop lying to yourselves to sooth insecurities. If your team isn't training/playing during HS soccer season, you're in the 2nd tier down of the youth soccer pyramid. If your league isn't represented in the final USYNT selection pools and the US Youth National Teams, it's not top tier. Be what you are and try to be the best at it. |
