The roads in Herndon are icy. Might be fine in other areas. The county was not able to pretreat due to the rain yesterday.

What time did the snow start? It seems worse now and my kid just left for middle school.

Can you imagine the poor teachers with kids running to the window every 3 seconds to go “look at the snow!” “It’s snowing harder” “did you that?”

Snow started around 7:45 or 8.

I just hope it stops before I park my car at the lot. Unfortunately I don’t own any type of snow scraper (teacher new ish here to the area who lives in a condo with an underground parking garage!)

According to the national weather service, ES, MS, and HS will be letting out in about 36 mph winds.

All of the yards and some streets near an elementary school are COATED in snow.

Oh no, not .05 inches of snow, it's a disaster!! It's fine, the busses are made to run in snow. The middle school bus just picked up in our neighborhood without any issues.

WTF? Why would you do that? I hope that's an unexcused absence.
