It was a joke, ever heard of it?? |
Poor delivery. |
When does the NEU booster NOT show up. She is literally always lurking or posting, it’s inappropriate use of the forum honestly. |
Says the NEU hater LOL |
Ah there you are! Your incessant and warped boosting is so tedious. DCUM is for parents. Do you get that DCUM is not your personal NEU marketing platform? |
This is just such an old, tired, dumb take. Look at the SAT averages of the top 25 colleges listed earlier. A 1490 is a submittal to every college. Dartmouth admitted that students who had scores in the 1400's hurt themselves if they didn't submit. The holier than thou know-nothings here should crawl back into their hole. |
This thread is about Northeastern. You are crazy. Seek help. |

OP, I’m not sure if you’re still reading (I likely wouldn’t be) but a safety is determined by acceptance rate. Schools with low acceptance rates aren’t safeties for anyone.
For example, look up the Common Data Set for Fordham. What’s their most recent acceptance rate and how many of those students did they accept ED? Even the brightest of kids get rejected. Look for schools with high acceptance rates to determine safeties. |
100% Simmons University is an example of a safety in Boston. Other regional Catholics like Providence, Fairfield, and Sacred Heart are targets for all, not safeties. Realizing these are not in Boston - just using to illustrate what a safety and a target means |
| If she is interested in psychology, she might consider Lesley University. They focus on professional training in counseling and psychology and the campus is adjacent to Harvard Square - really lovely area. |
DD who happens to a URM wants to check out colleges in Boston and BC specifically. She'll do a tour and will be in position to make her own evaluation. But thanks. |
| Agree with the person who said it depends on her grades and scores. BU is the easiest one to get into of the four, but it is not that easy. |
Nor is it your grudge platform. Get help. |
+1 |
No one has a grudge. My kid’s school is occasionally mentioned on here in a negative way and you know what, that’s fine because no school is perfect. There are many people that have a negative view of NEU based on their research and/or experiences based on the application process. This is allowed and assuming it comes from a single person over and over is just insane. No way to prove it of course, but very odd that anyone other than an employee of the school would have this much invested in squashing any negative comments. |
