Nate Randles, kids a stud and will most likely start varsity as a freshman. Could be the best freshman player I’ve ever seen and will honestly be a key player in this patriots team

Wow your son sounds like a heck of a player. Hope he has a great Spring. [/quote

I doubt this silliness is coming from the Dad. My guess is the kid himself.

Every year there are frosh that come in and are very good, BUT they soon realize that they are now playing against 18yo men. While you can dominate in rec and travel and showcase tournaments, at the same age and mostly the same size - height, weight and speed that comes with maturity will negate that. Also, the season is much longer and the body needs to adjust to the daily grind of a longer game and more practices.

Happens in all sports from middle to HS and HS to college and college to pro.

Did Yorktown not have super attack and the '27 Superman in Fierce Nation this winter?

Seems like they scored about on average (or a bit less) and really got 1/2 their goals in two games against the 2 bottom teams in the division (who only won 1 game each).......
I guess I would expect more from the self crowned best in the state.

Robo 10.2 goals per game
BI 8.1 GPG
Independence 8 GPG
Yorktown 7.5 GPG

I don’t like Yorktown and don’t know anything about the freshman but that #7 is good. All-American, first team all-state, will probably end up as Yorktown’s all time leading scorer.

I think he will finish the top Attack in the DMV public or private in 2024

#7 on Yorktown is easily a t3 attack in the state regardless of class, public or private

Who is the third attackman at Yorktown? Anyone know anything about him?

Did these Yorktown attack kids play winter ball at Fierce Nation? If so, why was the team scoring down from other programs?

I don’t Like yorktown as much as the next guy but I will say it definitely looked like they were missing lots of guys that they had the year prior (juniors that played, etc) we’ll see when season starts though

Yorktown will be very good again this year. Yes they lost more than anyone but they also return plenty and Randles is as good as advertised but is only a freshman. 20-30 goal guy but will eventually be elite.

Pretty sweet to see a NOVA public school kid bury the game winner for Maryland against Cuse

I like this type of analysis on returning/exiting talent. Does anyone close to the other contending schools have similar type of insights for the Madison/Langley/Battlefield/etc… rosters?
