You are so bizarre. You have been all over this board posting about your farts and your beautiful bms and like....give it a rest. |
OMG the insane fart lady is back. 😳😳😳 |
What's your point about weight rebound? If they rely on calorie deprivation instead, their weight will rebound once they start eating again. And, it's a lot easier to keep taking medication than it is to maintain a lifelong starvation diet. |
It smells terrible, and makes others uncomfortable around you. |
I would like her to clarify who is “making fun of her”? On this forum? In real life? Just in her head? This person seems mentally ill. |
You are joking, right? Your sister was able to lose weight when she bought a beach house and didn't have other responsibilities so everyone should be able to do it? Maybe should write a book about how to lose weight while living alone at the beach. Rather than supporting the idea that anyone can do this, your story illustrates why most people under the normal stresses of life are likely to fail. We all have limited bandwidth to deal with our lives. I was a super thin 20-something, but back then, all I had to do was my job and take care of myself; the rest of my time could be devoted to a strict diet and hours of exercise daily. That's just not sustainable for most people, and it's not even realistic in the short term for the vast majority of people. |
Right. Polite people do not fart anywhere where another person can smell it. You should be excusing yourself to the bathroom. We had an issue with a farter at work. Their farts were so often and so intense that people were constantly screaming and arguing about it. The other coworkers didn't want to go to work with them and people were complaining to their managers and HR. Farter then got themselves a cubicle far far away from everyone else and got spoken to about farting in restrooms only. |
I think there are side effects and many doctors glossed over them with their patients and their patients didn't bother to look into them to much either. Then when side effects came up patients might have dismissed them and kept taking the meds even if the instructions were to discontinue using and contact a doctor. So in short, I do think they warned about side effects but the warnings were easily dismissed because for many the side effects were ok as long as they also lost weight. I think there is no timeframe for how long one is going to take the meds and that might be something else that needs to be considered. A specific timeframe that they are prescribed for and then there is a break before it's prescribed again. |
So you're confirming it's stress that is ldeaing to your obesity? A psychological issue. Eating right and exercising is in fact sustainable for most people. I work a full-time job and raised two children with severe learning disabilities with zero help, including from my husband. I woke up at 5:30 am every weekday to work out, then put dinner on the table every night. I had severe anxiety the whole time. Was it easy? No. Was it sustainable? Yes. It was the healthiest way for my family to thrive. Help me understand how a "strict diet" takes time? The only point about the beach house was that she felt no need to sit down to dinner every night because she was alone. Trust me, she is not devoting time to a "strict diet" or exercising. She just took in fewer calories and walked her dogs more at night. |
Exactly. I'm taking it like I did when Prozac was new and it was considered shameful to do so by most people. Listening to Prozac (the book) was an eye opener. Long time ago now. I think this drug will have the same trajectory. With any drug there are dude effects, bad outcomes and people for whom it does not work and malpractice suits, legitimate or otherwise. |
Look, as someone who is on wegovy, I am not going to make fun of the lady's diet with high flatulence, if that's what works for her! I mean it's working for her so it's as good for her as the med is for me. |
Side effects |
I am diabetic. Ozempic made my heart race. I'm now on Mounjaro. So far, so good. |
I am a senior in the obese category even though I consume about 1200 kcal daily with very limited carbs and sugar. My numbers are all good except for hormonal issues; during ultrasound testing I always get the “ how can someone have such a small stomach at your size”.
The cardiologists have suggested semiglutides for weight loss since I’m not a good candidate for weight loss surgery. If I eat like a normal person I’ll be close to 300 lbs in no time. People don’t understand that endocrinologists understand less than 30% of how hormones affect the body and even with many trials and errors, they may not solve hormonal abnormalities, which may cause severe weight gain without caloric intake. |
Right?! A healthy diet can be very simple and does not have to be time consuming. |
