No multiple people on Reddit have confirmed Duke’s huge surge. It would be pretty wild at that point if it turned out to be false |
Pro tip.. don’t choose a school based on campus. It’s subjective. But if you must, High Point University beats Chapel Hill. |
This is bitter sweet thread. I love that Duke is so popular. But now it’s even harder for my kid to get in. It’s secretly been my dream school for them. ![]() They have their heart set on a very unlikely Yale REA, and is applying RD to Duke (as well as UPenn and some other reach and target schools).. I guess either a lot more of the ED will get accepted this year or more get deferred to RD. Either way, its looking pretty grim for us applying RD. |
+1 it’s also one of my kid’s top choices and they’ll have to enter the RD bloodbath |
Most URMs don't do ED. |
Ivies have similar percentages of Asian students |
Here are the white & Asian percentages. Also black population of each is 5-9%

On a separate note. I’m excited to see these numbers after the Supreme Court decision. My prediction: the conspiracy was false, and it’s not going to change much ![]() |
Post cds data |
Over the next five years tack on minimum 5% more on the Asian numbers |
Probably because it might be the only T10 that wasn’t taken over this fall by crazy leftist ant-semites. |
?? The numbers are for the past 4 years?? We don't have new numbers since the decision. I bet Asian numbers will increase. Question is how much. |
Confirmed on Reddit? It’s likely the same poster spreading the same rumor or someone else from this thread. |
You must be a high school student if you believe Reddit to be an accurate source for anything. |
Regardless of how you feel about Reddit, multiple different people saying the same thing means it’s likely true. What other explanation would there be? |
