No it has come to light that this is a political show trial. Show me the man and i will find the crime!

Are you talking about what the Democrats did to Donald Trump for years? Steele dossier? FBI investigation despite admitting no evidence? I'm losing track here.

Democrats are raging because they can’t buy him off.

Seems you have proven the point. Trump did broke the law and actively coordinated with Russia. Now you see it as your mission to get the son of the president of the US.

Many of the republicans and staff leading these show trials have kids. The dems show go after those people. Just like the republicans are doing now.

I think it's time to start pushing for President Biden to step aside in 2024 and allow an honest and robust debate within the Democratic Party to bring forth the best candidate to defeat Trump. The President clearly needs Trump to be the GOP candidate and Trump needs the President to serve as the only presidential hopeful who can't really communicate very clearly. It's a weird symbiosis that needs to be broken.

Why? Hunter Biden is not running for re-election, and Uncle Joe has been the most effective president in a lifetime

This. The GOP seems to not realize that Hunter has never been a White House employee, unlike other presidential kids like Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, how made off with 9/10 figures of money while "employed" there.

Federal gun charges in general. The specific charge Hunter received is not normal and not often charged.

“Last month, Biden was charged with possession of a firearm by a person who is a known drug user, a felony. He had a Colt Cobra .38 Special for 11 days in October 2018. He agreed to enter into a diversion agreement, which means that he would not technically plead guilty to the crime. As long as he adhered to the terms of his agreement, the case would be wiped from his record. If not, the deal would be withdrawn. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.”

You are telling me drug users who are found in possession of a gun aren’t often charged?

The truth here is, is the judge saw that the sweetheart deal allowed hunter to plead guilty to the tax charges and what was buried is that in doing so, he could never ever be prosecuted again for anything. Judge saw through the bs of the deal

Didn't read the whole thread. All i have to say is I don't care what happens to him as long as it's fair and in line with other people charged with the same crimes. Just make it stop.

In all seriousness, if the reports depicting his temper are accurate, the big guy is seething right now. I wouldn't want to be Hunter.

It wasn’t the judge. The prosecutor tried to reinterpret the deal so that it wasn’t really a plea deal but just a plea change with no deal. The judge just asked the question. The lawyers can work this out.

^^^ This is incorrect. All of the reporting on NBC and NYT and WSJ refute what you've just asserted.

Wrong. The NY Times reported that the judge wants language limiting the scope of immunity. Perhaps the parties can agree. But this is far from a nothing burger.

I don’t know what’s true here but my god, I cannot take anyone’s outrage about this seriously if they don’t also want to go after Jared and Ivanka.

That’s whataboutism on high volume right there, folks. Who should “go after” them?

Huh? Are they facing millions of dollars in criminal tax evasion and illegal gun charges as well?

The judge reportedly told Hunter Biden to actively seek employment. I don’t get that part. He’s a self-employed artist of immense talent, as indicated by the prices his art works command.
