It doesn't take a rocket scientist to piece together everything that's surfaced and see that it's quite possible a serious ethical lapse, even corruption, happened behind the scenes to protect Hunter Biden, and by extension, Joe Biden. The family was unquestionably doing weird business shilling with dummy shell companies involved and whatever it was, it doesn't smell good. That latest revelation Hunter B was paid over a million for his "art" by a person who later got a plum appointed position is intriguing, to put it politely.

If the best defense so far is that nothing can be "tied" to Joe Biden despite so many family members involved in these financial transactions, whatever they were, you know you're on shaky grounds.

Interpreted in the most negative light, as you are doing, your story of facts is unsavory, not illegal.

Wow David C. Weiss is so f’ing incompetent. This is an embarrassment for DOJ but it’s what is expected from a conservative. You see why he wants to keep this going…Weiss would be unable to get another job.

Time for Biden to remove Weiss and investigate him for fraud.

They're not ignoring it. Is the RW press covering every single twist and turn in the various Trump indictments?

Wait, this is a Brady ruling? So there is exculpatory evidence that wasn't shared with Hunter Biden?

Yes they are calling for the removal of Weiss.

"everything that surfaced" is doing a lot of work there.

Literally nothing new has surfaced. There is still the same facts known to the FBI and DOJ since 2018/2019.

The way I am reading this, the Comer and Jordan investigations have interfered with the DOJ investigations such that information that could have been helpful to the Biden side was not properly shared with the defense, which would be a huge problem for the DOJ in this case.

You understand the burden of proof that will be required in a court of law?

The difference is these facts are coming to light despite what is looking more and more like undue influence exerted by the DOJ.

They are coming to light to the public, but has been known to the FBI and DOJ, which have investigated and found nothing to charge.

Source? I haven't seen anything about a Brady ruling.

There wasn’t, but Shapley admitted that he refused to produce exculpatory evidence when prosecutors asked for it.

And will not be the reason the deal falls apart (if it does).

He pleaded not guilty so it’s fallen apart for now. They’ll likely try to revise it, probably by dropping that charge. But it looks like that’s the reason.

+1

They will drop the gun charge and he will take the deal on the two tax charges.

In the meantime, as we have seen in this thread, the GOP will jack up the conspiracy theories and rev up the base to a frothy bowl of jello.

And the GOP will have succeeded in making the deal better for Hunter. Maybe Hunter should be paying Comer for all this help.

Biden faced a separate gun charge, for illegally owning a Colt Cobra .38 Special handgun. He had conceivably reached a pretrial agreement regarding this issue that would delay the charges for a 24-month period, assuming he did not violate certain terms during that period — which included being added to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, no controlled substances or alcohol, and no local, state or federal violations. If he followed the agreement, the charge would be dropped.

Can anyone explain why Hunter is getting his gun charge dropped?
