Probably 3ish? 15-45 minutes a day. Trying to increase but I have to do it during my lunch break and I keep getting caught up in other things. Going to try to get swimming tomorrow; I mostly do strength training which I enjoy so much more than cardio. |
I actually agree with the poster, though, as usually the nastiness isn't warranted. I have three kids and a pretty intense job. I have ALWAYS managed to work out, though I never wanted it to take away from the time with my kids (since I already had working mom guilt!) The thing is, there is so much amazing free content online, broken into lots of small snippets. I aim for 30-45 minutes of activity every day (getting an apple watch to track my activity levels has been great for me). I do a lot of youtube stuff - usually with my kids in the room (or, if I can, convincing my kids to actually do the workouts with me). I also go on runs alongside them on their scooters, bikes, rollerblades. We walk the dog together, I play sports with them, etc. I think this is really important to demonstrate to the kids and a great way to help them develop a lifetime commitment to physical fitness. |
